Team Summary

The Third-Party Lifecycle Management Program (TLMP) team is a second line of defense Third Party Risk Management team operating as part of the Corporate Risk function.  TLMP is responsible for governance and oversight of Visa’s third-party risk and is responsible for assessing the effectiveness of the controls in place to identify, monitor, and manage Visa's third-party risk throughout the third party’s lifecycle with Visa.

What a Third-Party Director – North America (NA) does at Visa:

This is a fulltime position at Visa for Visa’s Third-Party Lifecycle Management team.  We are seeking a Director to manage Visa’ Critical Service Providers and lead the Technology category third party risk management program and multiple strategic initiatives within the TLMP. This role includes managing the risk assessment and due diligence processes for Visa’s North America Technology third parties and Critical Service Providers both at onboarding and throughout the lifecycle as part of Visa’s TLMP program.  The ideal candidate will have risk and/or corporate domain experience, will be process and customer driven, and an excellent communicator. Building influence in cross-functional partnerships and developing stakeholder relationships across the organization is an essential part of this role. 

The Director is expected to ensure all aspects of the assigned functions adhere to the Third-Party Lifecycle Management Policy and Procedures. This position reports to the Senior Director of Third-Party Lifecycle Management.

In this role, you are expected to:

  • Enhance and manage the oversight plan for Visa’s Critical Services Providers, working closely with stakeholders for day-to-day management, ensuring CSPs are managed in accordance with regulatory and client requirements.
  • Ensure CSP reporting is complete and accurate for executive management, internal risk committees, auditors and regulators.
  • Lead Visa’s third-party risk strategy for Technology and Treasury categories, collaborating with various stakeholders to perform due diligence, risk assessment and ongoing monitoring of third parties, ensuring inherent risks and control gaps are accurately identified and remediated
  • Validate incoming supplier engagements, working with business partners to ensure data is complete and accurate and inherent risks are identified
  • Manage high volume of Technology and Treasury portfolio third party related questions, risk assessments and due diligence evaluations to ensure inherent and controls effectiveness ratings are accurately identified.
  • Act as third-party risk subject matter expert on Technology and Treasury services and projects, while effectively collaborating with stakeholders, both cross-functionally and across geographies
  • Lead TLMP Supplier Performance oversight, partnering with Supplier Management Program team in enhancing SLA management of T0 and T1 third parties
  • Effectively partner with Sourcing leads and Business Partners while providing training, strategic support, escalation and recommendations to advance procurement requests, initiatives and processes. 
  • Serve as TLMP main POC for Procurement Operations partners, providing effective local support to Sourcing team
  • Coordinate the distribution of due diligence questionnaires to the suppliers, review submitted questionnaires for completeness, ensure Risk stakeholders finalize reviews and determine overall residual risk rating.  Be a strong liaison to ensure that Risk Stakeholder questions are answered by Business or Suppliers as required.  Conduct certain aspects of supplier due diligence not covered by risk stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the development of detailed procedural documents and ensure alignment of TLMP with regulatory requirements including FFIEC, OCC and other applicable regulations
  • Ensure fourth parties are identified, captured and reported across all suppliers
  • Conduct other TLMP activities that relate to third party lifecycle management. 
  • While position is focused on supporting CSPs, Technology and Global Treasury Services, will provide coverage for additional regions/categories when required
  • Provide data driven analysis to support reporting in the Technology and Treasury Services categories, focusing on key supplier risk trends and new insights

We are looking for an experienced individual with a curiosity about payments and Fintech, who is results-driven, and client focused.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
• 10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications:
• 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD
• 10+ years of experience executing risk programs, information security programs and/or audit program working with supplier or vendor risk assessments on Technology and Human Resources
• Demonstrated ability to communicate complex issues in a clear, concise and impactful way – turning research and raw data into hard numbers into compelling stories and useful strategic insights to a variety of stakeholders
• Working understanding of Anti-Bribery, Information Security, Business Continuity, Physical Security, Records Management, Call Center, Reputational and Financial risks
• Working experience with identifying the inherent risks associated with engaging suppliers to perform services and support projects/initiatives in these corporate domains
• Strong attention to detail and achieving results, with an emphasis on how work is being accomplished
• General understanding of contract terms and conditions
• Professional accreditation in risk management
• Proficiency in Financial Systems (Ariba, Aravo, Oracle, Coupa, IBM)

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 138,500.00 to 180,000.00 USD, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
