Job Description

The ‘Product Implementation Support, Solution Architect’ is a newly created role within Global Client team who will support the global responsibilities/initiatives of Visa’s Global Client Leadership Team. This position offers a rare opportunity to help create the founding operating models and cultural DNA for a new “global region” business unit at Visa.  The Global Client Team is responsible for increasing Visa’s strategic value to the clients, growing client and Visa revenue, and strengthening executive relationships by enabling strategic growth opportunities through Visa’s Global Account Executives. The incumbent will play a supporting role in enabling the global account teams to help their clients win in their markets and accelerate their growth with differentiated Visa solutions and programs in partnership with the Global Client Leadership Team, and various leaders across Visa business functions (e.g. Finance, Risk, Product, Marketing, and more).

The successful candidate will be an intellectually curious strategic thinker, ideally with a background in product, emerging technologies, management consulting, business operations, and payments/fintech.

This position is full-time.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Become an expert on the different Visa products and solutions, to provide first level support to solve Global Client product inquiries, while coordinating the involvement of other SMEs when required.

  • Responsible to track and map Global Client products and capabilities and identify gaps and/or potential opportunities.

  • Document country specific infrastructure, challenges, and regulation requirements for all geographies where Global Clients are present.

  • Keep a strong partnership with Account Leads and key Global Teams

  • Strong coordination and synchronization with regional and local Teams to track market priorities, competitors' environment, implementation needs, etc.

  • Create presentation decks, maintain dashboards, and generate reports as required.

  • Responsible for coordinating with HQ product teams for implementation and support of technology deployment among Global Clients.

  • Support key Product and/or Digital Solutions strategic initiatives in close coordination with Global and Regional Teams

  • Coordinate & manage complex, competitive projects with global stakeholders, global account teams, global operations, global strategy, and Visa executives.

  • Proactive problem solving, bringing informed ideas on improvements to the program and proposing practical solutions to identified shortcomings.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office two days a week, Tuesdays and Wednesdays with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualification:
9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD
Visa-specific experience in Operations, Client Accounts, or Strategy strongly preferred.
Experience in payments or Fintech.
Strategic thinker with analytical and problem-solving skills and comfortable with ambiguity in some scenarios.
Motivated self-starter with the ability to work with a sense of urgency and deliver under tight deadlines/timeframes and thrives in pressurized business situations (strong project and/or program management experience).
Strong attention to detail, highly organized, and adept at multi-tasking and adapting to evolving priorities.
Strong problem-solving skills, able to break down problems to propose alternative solutions.
Highly proficient in PowerPoint, Excel and Word with a desire to learn about and utilize other online tools and platforms (e.g., reporting tools).
Ability to navigate a globally matrixed environment successfully, with evidence of ability to influence outcomes across functions of the organization.
An international mind-set, capable of working across cultures, values diversity and have global experience and interpersonal skills.
Inherently excited about building new processes, testing & evaluating operating models, continuous improvement, and transforming hearts & minds while working with passionate colleagues at the global payments industry leader.
Solid understanding of the Global Payments industry is a plus.
Executive presence with superb presentation skills, including strong oral and writing capabilities.
Fluency in English and Spanish, Portuguese a plus.

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 121,000.00 to 157,300.00 USD, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
