Job Description

Position Summary Visa Direct is a payment service that Visa provides to clients (issuers, acquirers, processors, merchants and service providers) to facilitate fund transfers and disbursements to billions of endpoints around the world using push payment technology, i.e. Original Credit Transaction (OCT) and international ACH rails. Visa Direct consumer and business applications include person-to-person (P2P) transfer, person to micro-business transfer (e.g. payments to landscaper), funds disbursement (e.g. insurance claim disbursements), bill payment, cross-border remittance and more. Currently, the push payments market around the world is estimated to be an USD 80T opportunity. This role will report into the Head of Financial Institution Sales on the Visa Direct Specialized Sales Team. This team sits at the cross-section of sales and product with a mandate to accelerate growth for Visa Direct across the world. The Visa Direct Sales Director will lead commercial opportunities across regional banks, community banks and credit unions on the Visa Direct Sales Team and provide deal support to the Head of Financial Institution Sales. This role will be responsible for delivering commercial outcomes with banks across the Visa Direct business. We will be working in a fast paced, agile environment, so this person must be proactive and excel with internal and external partners to ensure we achieve our goals. Visa is looking for an experienced and self-directed salesperson with a proven track record of success with complex, fast-paced clients. In addition to strong business development acumen, this is a cross-functional team, so organizational savvy and interpersonal skills are critical. Responsibilities include: - Develop and drive a robust sales pipeline for Visa Direct - Own the sales lifecycle from prospecting and sales pitch to contract signature for banks in partnership with AEs and other cross-functional partners - Identify and overcome internal and external blockers to achieve sales objectives - Work with finance business partners to structure high value commercial deal structures - Build strong internal and external relationships - Work with Visa Direct Product and Client Services Teams to lead technical sales solutioning conversations with strategic clients as necessary. This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications - A minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 5 or more years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) - A minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience within the financial services industry or a related payments industry Qualifications - At least 10 years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) - Creative self-starter with a bias toward action and proven track record for successfully developing, building, launching and commercializing technology products that delight customers - Strong background of client/partnerships management, sales, and or business development preferably at a regional or multi-market level - Industry related experience, including experience on commercialization teams, product management, network management, strategy organization and, or management consulting - Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong focus on delivering for clients - Excellent listening and communication skills (both verbal and written), and executive presence (must be able to interface with senior client executives) - Ability to explain complex business and technical concepts to audiences in an approachable way to influence and drive adaption - Passionate about what you do and excited about the opportunity to transform payments working for the industry leader - Possess a high level of professionalism and leadership skills to build business relationships, trust and respect with business partners and suppliers - Strong team player, self-motivated and the ability to work independently at coordinating across functional activities, and obtain buy-in - An advanced degree from a top school strongly preferred - Visa or financial industry knowledge required and push payments or real-time payments experience a plus

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 226,900.00 to 295,000.00 USD, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
