Job Description

You will play a central role in shaping how portfolio project management is executed on a global scale at Visa. You’ll directly engage with technology and business teams across Visa including Corporate IT, PMO, Visa Consulting and Analytics, Marketing, Finance, HR, various product teams and more. Leveraging your in-depth knowledge of the Clarity PPM and all it offers, you’ll have the opportunity to provide process, functional and architectural guidance and support teams utilizing it today to optimize their experience. Beyond that, you’ll be a key player in expanding its global footprint both in terms of usage and functionality. Being hands on you will drive POC’s, perform configurations, provide functional support and help resolve business challenges that may arise, and evangelize the continued adoption of the Clarity platform across the business. You will build deep partnerships with our business partners and champion proactive new ways technology can help. You will plug into the team where you work closely with passionate, hardworking leaders wanting to leverage technology to better manage their business.

The Corporate IT (CIT) team that this team is part of provides development and support for Client, Corporate Operations and Administration Systems. Visa global business functions supported by CIT include Branding, Marketing, Sales, Service, Call Center, Finance, Revenue, Human Resources, Customer Relationship Management and Corporate Risk. The team works closely with business owners of these services to deliver industry leading packaged software and custom developed solutions. 

Essential Functions:

  • Adhere to defined support policies, procedures, and service levels with an understanding of SOX related IT controls

  • Expected to critically evaluate customer service requests and incidents to prioritize own workload, determine potential global and/or cross-modular impacts, determine temporary procedural work-around where feasible, and communicate to the broader group of impacted parties.

  • Conduct one-on-one user training or formalized, pre-developed larger group training sessions as assigned.

  • Mentoring junior team members.

  • Proactively identify, evaluate, and communicate ideas for process improvements and training needs both for applications usage by customers as well as for internal processes and skills enhancement.

  • Work with L3 teams (SME) on the critical requests and resolve it to closure.

  • Interface with external software vendors for product enhancements or issues, initiating Service Requests (SR's) as necessary with other 3rd Party Vendors.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office two days a week, Tuesdays and Wednesdays with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD
  • At least 2 end to end implementations of Clarity PPM
  • Expert level functional experience with Clarity PPM required
  • Experience implementing Clarity PPM 15.x and above using modern user experience
  • Drive the utilization, enhancement, and evolution of the Clarity PPM tool ensuring scalability to meet evolving business needs
  • Represent and ensure end users interests when implementing functional changes, systems enhancements, break/fix solutions, and customized or updated configurations in partnership with vendor partners and technical teams
  • Manage system updates, testing, and related activities including the creation and execution of test scripts, coordination of UAT testing, communications, etc.
  • Lead systems training across a wide-ranging end-user community including PMO Power Users/Clarity Leads, Project Managers, and Time Entry users, educating all on the capabilities the platform offers as it relates to their expansive and expanding project portfolios
  • Develop and maintain systems related artifacts and documentation, training materials, and valuable insights for users
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills with both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Clear, professional communication skills able to contribute to team discussions, knowing when to contribute, when to listen, and when to ask questions
  • Must have a strong analytical acumen, problem solving skills, strategic thinking, attention to detail and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability in delivery of global projects
  • Ability to write and understand SQL Queries is a plus
  • Ability to drive requirements conversations and convert requirement to functional design
  • Ability to build basic POC’s and help drive functional design
  • Working knowledge of web services, REST, APIs, XML required
  • Experience with BI technologies like PowerBI, Tableau is a plus
  • Experience in working with agile workflow management tools like JIRA preferred

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.
