Job Description
The Program Manager of Data Systems will be responsible for complete overview and driving security initiatives across product, software engineering and data teams. This includes the tracking, monitoring and influencing priority of significant security objectives, goals and plans from all security sub-departments. The goal of this individual’s efforts will be to manage complex, multi-disciplinary security projects through the entire lifecycle. This individual will identify and define commercialization opportunities, work cross-functionally with Visa and other teams to keep security efforts on track, and ensure intelligent, well-coordinated, and seamless remediation.
What you will do:
• Communicate successfully with partners and drive accountability across teams to ensure security remediation projects are delivered through completion by required dates
• Responsible for the communication of project timelines, status and extension requests/approvals
• Gather and examine Visa Inc. and internal security team needs and opportunities for new information security programs, products and projects
• Drive organizational needs cross-functionally with product, engineering and finance including tracking and reporting of progress and metrics
• Run cross-functional meetings to clarify, define, track, drive, and champion security efforts
• Identifies the right stakeholders and SMEs to engage, and proactively works with them to identify problems, resolutions, and opportunities
• At times, lead a cross-functional team consisting of individual contributors and managers who are conceptualizing, rationalizing, and driving multiple simultaneous projects
• Develop clear and concise messaging that synthesizes complex ideas
• Experience crafting and executing information security initiatives, including capturing and redefining requirements into impactful work items
• Experience driving cross-functional initiatives according to plan and timelines
• Proven track record of successful collaboration with internal and external partners
• Communicate successfully within the project team and with security leadership
• Research and recommend solutions to security concerns and blockers
Competencies:
• Adept in running cross-functional meetings to clarify, define, and track program progress
• Strong communicator capable of developing clear and concise messaging from complex or technical ideas with C-level stakeholders
• Demonstrates an understanding of core business drivers that influence the operational and financial results of a program or release
• Demonstration of utilizing data driven decision making and applying continuous improvement methodologies
• Strategic, well-organized individual that pays attention to details
• Prioritize effectively and multitask efficiently
Qualifications
What we need you to have:
• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree, preferably in a technical discipline
o In lieu of a degree, a high school diploma or equivalent with four or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
• 3+ years of experience project management in a technical field
• Intermediate experience of management of large projects or programs, preferably technical and security related
• Experience managing expectations of C-level stakeholders regarding project timelines and needs
• Experience working in cross-functional collaborative environments
• Experience leading and executing internal and external audits
• Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills about communicating risk, strategy and vision
• Strong understanding of the roles, practices, and principles of Lean and Agile frameworks
• Understanding of Databases/Data Systems with respect to security – encryption, data integrity, authentication
• Understanding of secure public cloud architectures

Physical Requirements:
This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers, and reach with hands and arms. This position can be performed in a remote work arrangement for any candidate located outside the greater Cleveland area, or any Visa office. To foster community, connection, and collaboration, it is expected that candidates within a 50 mile commute of our Mentor, Ohio location adhere to a hybrid working model. Hybrid work is also expected for any candidate within a 50 mile commute of a Visa office. This hybrid model includes in office and work from home days each week.
COLORADO APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position in Colorado is $75,400.00 to $96,100.00 USD. Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position is eligible for annual bonus and equity.
