This role is in the Visa Solutions team and is a recognised expert in payment risk, focused on the sales, pre and post product implementation support of the Visa Risk, Identity & Data products, processes and other risk capabilities used by Issuing, Acquiring, Payment Gateways, etc.

What we expect of you, day to day
- We are seeking a leader to work directly with issuing and acquiring clients in Sub-Saharan Africa in our Solutions team servicing our clients with subject matter expertise in Visa’s suite of Risk, Identity and Data solutions.
- You will be the go-to person for Risk, Identity & Data Product sales and delivery requirements in terms of product and pricing illustrations to Visa Client base in the markets.
- You’ll be responsible for developing and maintaining a successful risk solutions sales pipeline, ensuring client-facing teams have the knowledge, collateral and support they need to rapidly grow product penetration and revenue increase.
- You will be responsible for the ongoing execution of selling of risk, identity and Data products to new Clients to meet and exceed annual targets.
- You will demonstrate strong commercial acumen to be able to articulate the key trends in risk, data, the emerging digital identity space.
- You will be organized and able to drive multiple initiatives simultaneously, across different functions within Visa and externally.
- You will support the building of Risk Product decks, Data analysis, reports and dashboards.
- You will help monitor targets and goals, working closely with cross-functional teams by helping with projection and tracking of key product KPIs for the markets.
- You will be required to work in a complex matrix environment across Visa and the assigned Visa client base, collaborating with and managing stakeholders daily to ensure delivery of joint priorities. This role will work very closely with the Country Managers, Business Development Teams, and the other cross-functional teams within Visa.
- This position will involve constant sales and optimisation interaction and communication with Clients and key Visa stakeholders, as such, you must have excellent stakeholder management skills across all levels of business.
- You will be an ambassador for Visa at workshops, and industry events. You will be the SME on risk, data and identity products, and must be up to speed on regulations in sub-Saharan Africa.
- You will deliver on previous industry sales expertise and support in the payment card networks, fraud management, e-commerce payments security, identity, and payment-processing world.
- You’ll also support from time-to-time client engagements in authentication and data platform use cases under the banner of Visa’s Digital Commerce framework
What we’re after
- Significant experience in e-commerce, authentication, fraud, and identity platforms
- Excellent understanding fraud systems, 3-D Secure, payment processors
- Consumer driven mindset – must have an in-depth knowledge of how risk solutions can drive security and reduce friction from the consumer’s point of view
- Commercial acumen – an understanding of the economics of the client’s business and the ways risk products can impact a client’s P&L, as well as the commercial drivers of Visa’s business
- Ability to communicate technical concepts in a clear and articulate fashion to both technical and non-technical internal and external audiences, at varying levels of management
- Exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills and a proven ability to influence and communicate effectively across regional and functional lines
- Highly collaborative, ability to work across multiple teams in an organization. Strong interpersonal skills to influence and build credibility as a peer with leaders and team members within Visa
- Passion and deep knowledge of global and emerging payments technologies, product solutions, commercial and operational frameworks
- Able to combine aspects of the business and commercialisation with technical understanding
- Ability to manage a complex and varied workload, requiring support of multiple ongoing product and solution development initiatives and providing product support for teams delivering implementation projects
- Advanced planning, organizational and problem-solving skills
- Excellent PowerPoint and Excel Skills
Qualifications
• At least 5 plus years’ experience in fraud services to financial institutions, including identity, risk and data
• Knowledge of banking, credit cards, fraud controls and or payment processing within the SSA
• Understanding of complex enterprise selling opportunities and managing, closing sales pipelines
• Experienced negotiating contracts with major and regional issuers and a deep understanding of vendor management review processes.
• Experience managing sales pipeline using a CRM preferably Dynamics.
• Experience providing exceptional customer, client support
• Experience working side by side with other operational departments
• Comfortable creating dynamic customer business analysis and presenting to bank and Visa executives.
