Job Description
What we expect of you, day to day.
This role requires you to be able deliver strategies and critical thinking based thought leadership across a broad range of subjects related to Visa’s Digital Solutions. You’ll be able to lead critical client engagements on Visa money movement solutions, our network of network strategy, our position on digital identity and how Visa is enabling next generation payment experiences through our Visa developer solutions.
You will lead a team of Subject Matter Expert (SMEs) across Visa’s Digital Solutions including Contactless, tokenisation, Click to Pay, Authentication and Risk solutions, Visa Dispute Products and Visa Direct. The role delivers product knowledge and strategy support across the foundational remote commerce capabilities offered by Visa.
This role will champion Visa’s digital product portfolio across Visa’s client base, ensuring client-facing teams have the knowledge, collateral and support they need to rapidly grow product penetration and revenue.
You will be well versed on market trends, be forward thinking to be able to identify future opportunities for Visa and specific product and solution gaps, that will feed into the European region and Global product roadmaps.
You will help to shape our approach to the competitive and regulatory environment. Working closely with our Government Engagement teams to ensure we convey Visa’s digital solution capabilities and how they support an open, healthy ecosystem in which merchants, consumers and payment aggregators thrive.
You’ll be responsible for developing a cohesive communications narrative that facilitates understanding and adoption of Visa’s Digital Solutions strategy across the Buyers and Seller side of the UK&I ecosystem.
The role will also prioritise initiatives based on an understanding of client needs gathered from client facing teams, together with an assessment of likely benefit to Visa.
You’ll also be responsible for working with internal Visa teams to evaluate product related regulatory, legal and operational risks and implement mitigations required.
Contribute to best practices creating commercial constructs, terms, agreements and pricing structures.
People are a critical resource at Visa. You’ll be a strong people manager, with key responsibility for the coaching, development and growth of your team, ensuring delivery against functional objectives as well as supporting individuals personal development goals.
Qualifications
- 10-15 years of work experience within the financial services, technology or digital commerce and payments sectors. A clear and demonstrated successful career history of commercialisation of technology based solutions and platforms
- Significant experience of product development and product management in ecommerce, digital and mobile payments, mobile platforms or in payments systems integration
- Passion and deep knowledge of global and emerging payments technologies, product solutions, commercial and operational frameworks
- Understanding of EMVCo, Eurozone regulation and directives, SEPA, IFR, GDPR and PSD2
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills, exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills and the proven ability to influence and communicate effectively across regional and functional lines. In particular, an ability to communicate technical concepts in a clear and articulate fashion to both technical and non-technical audiences for internal and external audiences is critical
- Highly collaborative, ability to work across multiple teams in an organization. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills to influence and build credibility as a "peer" with leaders and team members within Visa
- Able to combine aspects of the business and commercialisation with technical understanding.
- Ability to manage a complex and varied workload, requiring support of multiple ongoing product development, product solution and implementation
- Advanced planning, organizational and problem-solving skills, demonstrated ability to influence, negotiate and drive results. Experience in Design Thinking.
- Understanding of Web technologies including RESTful APIs, mobile payments technologies, including NFC, secure elements, contactless payments, online/remote payments and in app payments
