The Digital Developer Platform team is looking for a talented QA engineer to drive the quality and evolution of Visa Acceptance Cloud. The candidate will work closely with product owners and the team to develop a test plan for each feature.  The test cases will be automated using Java.  You will work closely with other teams to help define quality standards and best practices.

We are looking for someone with serious quality and development skills and a passion for delivering secure, high quality, highly available services.

Essential Functions:

• Develop test plans and test strategies for the product features
• Execute test plans and track test results on regular basis and drive team to improve the process.
• Work with Project Managers, Product Owners, Developers and Quality Engineers to ensure that a high quality product is delivered
• Drive test solutions in terms of test coverage, test methodologies and automation
• Setup, configure, and maintain test environments
• Collaborate with development team to analyze, debug and resolve design and code issues

Basic

• 4 years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD degree
• Strong foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms and software design. (required)
• Ability to write code in Java (required)

Preferred

• 7-10 years of work experience and a Bachelor’s Degree or 6 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 years of experience with a PhD.
• Bachelors/Masters degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering or other related fields 
• Experience with web services standards and related technologies (HTTP, JSON, REST)
• Solid understanding and experience of database technologies such as SQL
• Strong problem solving skills
• Strong interpersonal and facilitation skills along with effective communication (both written and verbal) skills
• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and commitments in an environment that requires multitasking among concurrent projects
• Ability and desire to learn new skills and take on new initiatives
• Proven ability to work and have fun in a team environment
• Knowledge or experience in payment industry a plus

Work Hours This position requires the incumbent to be available during core business hours.

Travel Requirements This position requires the incumbent to travel for work less than 10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers, and reach with hands and arms.
