Job Description

Position Summary

Visa Direct is a payment service that Visa provides to clients (issuers, acquirers, processors, merchants and service providers) to facilitate fund transfers/disbursements to Visa accounts in the U.S. and around the world using push payment technology, i.e. Original Credit Transaction (OCT).  In the US, Visa Direct consumer and business applications include person to person (P2P) transfer, person to micro-business transfer (e.g. payments to landscaper), and funds disbursement (e.g. insurance claim disbursements).  Currently, the push payments market in the North America is estimated to be a $13T opportunity.

North America Visa Direct (NAVD) is hiring a Business Operations Lead. This individual will work with the NAVD organization as well as cross-functional partners to manage organizational reporting and planning, develop and communicate business performance insights, track accountability for key program launches and deliverables, and continuously improve the day-to-day operations of the NAVD team.

The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.  This individual will be expected to have good project management skills and over time, develop the ability to drive change and influence in cross-functional settings.  Other critical attributes:

  • Ability to manage competing demands that involve rapid turnaround times and time-critical decisions

  • Strong quantitative analytical skills, including querying, organizing and interrogating Visa and external data and then summarizing insights

  • Define, manage and embed new BAU processes in support of the business
  • Manage project-related interactions and communications with functional partners across the North America organization

  • Support and occasionally lead the production of executive presentations, speeches, and FAQs for various Visa events

  • Monitor and report product progress, manage and communicate dashboards, newsletters, and reports consumed by senior executives

  • Track commercial roadmap, program launches, progress of implementations, own follow-ups and key actions

  • Responsible for coordinating forecasting and tracking incentive packages in close collaboration with incentive ops, finance, NAVD regional, global, and cross-border teams 

TRAVEL REQUIREMENT:  This position requires the incumbent to travel for work 5-10% of the time

Qualifications

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5 years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Prior Visa experience in an analytical role, familiarity with VisaNet, ability to read and interpret internal data, and payments industry experience desirable

  • Exceptional problem solving skills, able to multi-task and manage competing priorities

  • Highly organized and armed with strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Intellectually curious about the payments industry and the cards business

  • Ability to influence others, e.g., cross-functional stakeholders and leaders

  • Composure and clarity required to interact with senior management, executives, and clients

  • Work with limited direction, usually within a complex and often ambiguous environment, to drive rigorous, fact-based recommendations and solutions

Physical Requirements

This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers, reach with hands and arms, and bend or lift up to 25 pounds.
