Job Description

Visa Inc. is searching for a Senior Technical and API Specialist within our Visa Developer Platform team. As a key subject matter expert and team member of Customer Onboarding and Service team, you will be responsible for onboarding new customers and for the ongoing success of our clients that connect with us in this new digital platform. You'll leverage your deep understanding of REST APIs and technical know-how, to work with the client and with internal resources to bring products to market quickly and frictionless. 

Job Responsibility

  • Be the technical expert for implementing Visa Developer Platform APIs for the customer’s solutions. Quickly understand our client's host systems and applications to drive to solutions for integration
  • Coordinate with Product, Account Management, Engineering, global client service teams and other teams to ensure smooth client onboarding, implementation and ongoing success. Address any technical or security related issues during implementation.
  • Continuously expanding knowledge base with new APIs being added to the platform 
  • Key player on improving the customer experience by delivering faster and lower touch onboarding
  • Innovate on new ways to interact with clients and potential clients that drive higher satisfaction and NPS levels 
  • Focused Identifying and meeting client's needs that result in high impact solutions

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 4 years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD 
  • Degree Engineering Degree required 
  • Good communication skills, English and Spanish
  • Strong cross functional, global collaboration skills with an ability to work across all levels 
  • Self-motivated, results oriented individual with the ability to handle numerous projects concurrently 
  • Comfortable operating in a fast paced and complex environment, with an ability to handle numerous projects concurrently. 
  • Experience in communicating and presenting to clients. 
  • Ability to articulate complex technical terms or processes into business language 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in providing technical implementation expertise to clients preferably within modern technology platforms and payments 
  • Experience providing technical implementation expertise to customers for SaaS based product or a developer platform is highly desired 
  • Fluent in Java and/or scripting languages, JSON, Web Applications, mobile applications, API usage and design, SDKs, developer tools. Exposure to multiple programming languages is highly desired
  • Ideal if you have direct experience building applications using APIs
  • Working knowledge of payments industry, a plus but not required.
  • Good communication skills, English and Spanish, Portuguese a plus.

Additional Information

Work hours: 8 hours - Regular Office hours

Travel: Position might require occasional travel for training or team meetings -

Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers, reach with hands and arms, and bend or lift up to 25 pounds.
