What’s it all about?

The Interchange & Litigation Data Analyst role is a key part of the Payment Economics team for Visa in Europe. The Payment Economics team is responsible for interchange and inter-client fee business development, operational management and compliance across Europe. The role requires collaboration with various business areas with specific focus on projects related to retailer litigation. 

What we expect of you, day to day.

As the Interchange & Litigation Data Analyst, you will assume responsibility for, although not limited to, the following activities:

  • Work with the Regulatory Reporting & Compliance Senior Manager to execute on litigation analytics plans and deliverables

  • Support the development and implementation of BI / reporting and modelling solutions for all retailer litigation initiatives

  • Proficiently execute simple to complex analytics and modelling projects

  • Lead the process of claimant / merchant data cleansing in the context of the retailer litigation

  • Perform quality assurance on data and deliverables

  • Support to production and provision of interchange MI to internal and external stakeholders

  • Support the management of interchange / inter-client fee data and MI, in accordance with established policies and procedures

  • Support re-balances/retrospective manual adjustments for interchange and inter-client fees

Qualifications

What we’re after…

  • Educated to degree level with qualifications in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics or equivalent experience

  • Relevant experience in the payments industry

  • Ability to extract large volumes of multifaceted data using SQL/HQL

  • Experience of the Hadoop eco-system, including Hive and Impala

  • Demonstrable ability in different programming languages such as Python and R

  • Experience of analytic and BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI and MicroStrategy

  • Expert knowledge of MS Excel

  • Hands on experience on processing large data sets

  • Highly detailed oriented, ensuring highest level of quality/rigor in reports & data analysis

  • Ability to present ideas and analysis in a compelling manner to all stakeholders

  • Exhibit intellectual curiosity and strive to continually learn
