Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION

Come join Visa to be the steward of one of the leading Brands in the world. As an VP for the Andean and Central America and Caribbean, you will join the Latin America Marketing Team to lead the marketing team for more than 35 markets to continue building the value and the preference of our brand with clients and consumers while growing Visa’s revenue. This role is responsible for leading the development and execution of the overall regional marketing strategy covering consumer and client marketing scope for the three sub regions.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead regional strategic planning approach for the function for the three sub regions: Andean, Central America and the Caribbean.

  • Frame and conduct analyses and research needed to support annual strategic plan and/or marketing plans development.

  • Lead the marketing strategy and supervise the campaign development, including media plan execution, digital partnership and engagement, and social strategy and execution for the different marketing initiatives markets.

  • Represent client's marketing, market insight and analytic needs internally within Visa which requires a thorough understanding of the client's business and marketing objectives, business and marketing strategies/key initiatives, underlying business philosophy, financial model, and key players, as well as Visa's interaction model and approach.

  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies for Visa's activities in conjunction with Senior Vice Presidents of the regions, and all key external and internal stakeholders.

  • Be accountable for supervising marketing budget, reporting, budget/contractual commitment tracking, and marketing program performance metric reporting.

  • Work closely with the Marketing hub team regularly on brand and initiative direction, business measurement and financial tracking.

  • Deepen engagement with multifunctional teams; sales, merchants sales and solutions, product, analytics and marketing hub to define new opportunities for the markets.

  • Reimagine the use of Visa’s key sponsorship assets; FIFA, NFL and the Olympics, working side by side with banks and retailers.

  • Manage the strategic leadership our key partnership with our brand agency, from strategy, plan development, channel planning and data analysis to push our marketing evolution upstream especially in digital and social fields.

  • Deliver marketing best practice to create a “Go Beyond” marketing team.

  • Inspire, coordinate, and motivate local agency partners and direct reports to deliver best in class marketing programs. Successfully lead a 15+ marketing team members, located in six different countries.

  • Work with regional and cross border marketing teams in terms of strategy planning, resource integration, research and measurement to ensure marketing management liaising with global and regional directions.

  • Ensure compliance and process correctness of Visa Andean marketing department adhere to Visa key controls and brand standards.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 18+ years of brand and trade marketing experience, preferably in a multi-national company.

  • Demonstrated record of accomplishment of developing marketing strategies based on business objectives and executing marketing programs that delivered measurable business results.

  • Experience managing and motivating external partners, including agencies and clients.

  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful marketing campaigns.

  • Experience working with financial indicators to measure business performance including ROI and accurately forecasting sources of cost, revenue and risk with an ability to summarize business and financial data in a useful manner for planning and decision-making.

  • Written and verbal communication skills and able to present with impact in English and Spanish.

  • Demonstrated skills managing teams and direct reports.

  • Ability to structure and manage complex projects and processes with multiple stakeholders at both senior and junior levels.

  • Advanced planning, organizational and problem solving skills.

  • Experience working with LAC markets is preferred but not a requisite.
