Job Description

The Senior Account Executive is responsible for driving sales of CardinalCommerce products and services for the assigned new enterprise accounts. This position develops and builds relationships and identifies customer needs and goals in the consumer authentication arena, then presents customized CardinalCommerce solutions that best meet their business needs.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions: 
• Utilize previous sales experience in the gateway and payment processing industry to generate new revenue within our key target vertical, Internet Retailer 500, as well as travel, entertainment and other Card-Not-Present clients and prospects 
• Win and close deals for CardinalCommerce 
• Maintain an up-to-date revenue forecast 
• Utilize and regularly update Salesforce database as part of the Strategic Sales process 
• Attend and assist in the development of industry/client events and conferences 
• Act as an advocate for CardinalCommerce in all professional relationships 
• Evangelize CardinalCommerce products

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Required:

  • Minimum of a High school diploma or equivalent
  • A minimum of 7 years business experience with related sales and management experience in the payments industry or similar experience in consulting
  • Experience selling software/ software as a service
  • Demonstrated record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales quotas
  • Experience unifying cross-functional internal teams to satisfy customer needs
  • Comfort combining multiple C-Level executives in a cohesive sales process
  • Proven track record of strong prospecting and excellent closing skills
  • Proven work experience closing Fortune 500 business
  • Ability to determine a custom marketing message for the customer and execute that message

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Sales background in the electronic payments industry, including credit cards, PayPal and fraud protection solutions
  • Prior experience selling card-not-present solutions
  • Public Speaking experience at industry events or trade shows
  • CRM experience
  • Contract negotiation experience
  • Consulting experience a plus

Physical Demands:

  • Frequent sitting, standing and walking
  • Travel via air and land up to 50%. International travel may be required
