Job Description

Purpose 

The Operations Support analyst role reports to the Operations Support Director for Mexico, and is responsible for providing operational support and assistance to the Marketing function in the execution of a select set of routine transactions and projects with merchants, clients and vendors, in line with established policies and procedures.

The role will act as an advisory for other key functions (MSS, Products, and Sales), supporting the proper execution of transactions under the requirements of a variety of policies and procedures.

The Operations Support analyst acts as a key representative from the Controllership Group, will work with cross-functional control groups (Compliance, Legal, Client Contract Management, and Continuous Control Monitoring) in building a strong control environment for the country, and will perform a critical role in the identification, reporting, and remediation of policy deviations.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Supports project pipeline management to track end-to-end execution of transactions in line with established policies and procedures.
  • Assists the Mexico Operations Support Director in providing advice on policies and procedures.
  • Ensures a strong knowledge of policies and procedures such as VIK, Prepayments, T&E, Sourcing, Anti-Bribery, Global Sponsorship and Key Controls.
  • Executes a select set of routine transactions in accordance with Visa Policies and Procedures including but not limited to:
    • Purchase Requisitions
    • Supplier Risk assessment form set up
    • Purchase Order Management, working closely with Marketing managers
    • Project Closure (receiving, third party reconciliation review, purchase order closing)
    • Registration of events in the CVENT system
    • Supplier and Business Partner payment reconciliation
    • Revision of commercial terms on standard contract templates, liaising with Legal team as applicable
    • Collaborates with the GLAC and Hub Operations Support Team, Regional Controller and Financial Internal Controls to monitor deviations from policies and procedures
    • Provides support to the business functions and/or completes applicable documentation/forms required by policies and procedures
    • Assists in the monitoring of merchandising products inventory and/or other areas as requested by Sr. Management

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business discipline
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in financial institutions, preferably with some knowledge of internal controls
  • Project Management experience
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work effectively in a matrix management structure; and in a complex, diverse, international and multi-cultural environment
  • Good problem solving skills, with demonstrated ability to identify and resolve issues
  • Good organizational, time management and planning skills
  • Fluent business English and Spanish (oral and written)
