Job Description

Visa Direct is an exciting, new payment service that Visa provides to clients (issuers, acquirers, processors, merchants and service providers) to facilitate fund transfers/disbursements to Visa accounts in the U.S. and around the world using push payment technology, i.e. Original Credit Transaction (OCT).  Visa Direct consumer and business applications include person to person (P2P) transfer, person to micro-business transfer (e.g. payouts to shared economy providers), funds disbursement (e.g. insurance claim disbursements), and more. The push payments opportunity in the North America is estimated to be more than $10Trillion of payment volume, replacing cash, checks and ACH with push credits directly into bank accounts in real-time. 

The Senior Director, Visa Direct Enablement – Emerging Partners will  be responsible for enabling innovative processors, ISOs, payment gateways, and integrated software vendors to offer Visa Direct push-to-card disbursement services to their merchant customers.  The role requires a client-focused professional who can identify potential Visa Direct partners, develop the tactics to secure client commitments, and manage the teams needed to bring implementations to fruition.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Build on Visa’s existing relationships with payment processors and gateways to secure their commitment to move forward with Visa Direct implementations

  • Develop strong understanding of payments landscape to identify target partners.  Collaborate with Visa sales teams to initiate Visa Direct discussions with targets

  • Partner with Cybersource and Visa Direct-enabled processor to ensure that Cybsersource Payout customers can use their existing processor relationships for push-to-card

  • Assist clients in developing the business case for Visa Direct to gain executive support and resource allocation

  • Execute partnership agreements with clients; includes securing internal Visa approvals

  • Partner with client and internal stakeholders to design compelling customer-facing solutions and approach for integration to the Visa network

  • In collaboration with Visa Client Implementation teams, manage overall implementation and commercialization projects with clients.  Work with cross functional teams to ensure partner implementations are on track and delivering against plan

  • Develop and share implementation and commercialization best practices

  • Recommend and develop creative approaches for clients to build and grow their push-to-card disbursements business

  • Lead Multiple Client Engagements from conception through delivery leading all aspects of engagement

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 8 years business experience in client-facing professional services and/or project/program management.

  • Payments experience preferred; Visa and financial/payment industry knowledge considered a strong asset

  • Advanced analytic and creative problem-solving skills with a strong focus on outcomes

  • Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills.  Ability to explain complex business and technical concepts to broad audiences in an approachable way.

  • Independent decision making with minimal oversight from senior members of staff

  • Team oriented, collaborative and flexible

  • Strong collaboration and facilitation skills and ability to lead cross-functional teams with clarity and energy

  • Complex and varied workload, required to support multiple ongoing implementations and processes

  • Client focus and ability to cultivate deep partnerships with current and potential clients.
