Job Description

Visa Direct is a high priority digital product for Visa globally, offering enormous potential for new payment volume and revenue.  This exciting service enables Visa partners (issuers, acquirers, processors, merchants and service providers) to provide real-time services for use-cases such as : Person-to-person payments via messaging platforms (e.g. Facebook, Google), Payouts to marketplace suppliers (e.g. Uber, Lyft), Conventional disbursements (insurance, compensation claims, tax refunds), Person-to-micro-business payments (e.g. sole proprietors).  Visa’s Digital products focus on building additional flexibility into our existing platform architecture to launch into the market new and innovative offerings that create tremendous value for payments service providers.

The Visa Direct Core Platform team is seeking highly qualified senior product managers who are passionate about innovating and delivering truly differentiated user experiences. He/she will be playing an important role in this journey by being a supporting team member in implementing new offerings integrated into existing core product platforms. As a product manager, he/she will be collaborate with all members of the Visa Direct team, ensure all key product deliverables are successful, and help realize our overall product vision.

Responsibilities:

The role will be primarily responsible for supporting Visa Direct Core Platform activities, including championing product development/integration support activities, data analysis, managing escalations, problem solving and more importantly support Visa Direct initiatives. This position interacts with many cross-functional stakeholders, including various Technology teams, CSS, Analytics, and business function leads. This role is global and will need to balance regional and global opportunities to achieve overall go-to -market strategies. Accomplishing this will require a nuanced ability to influence and collaborate across a complex and highly matrixed organization. This position will report to a senior leader within Visa Direct Platform Product team. Key responsibilities include:

  • Strong desire to lead and effectively manage business problems through hands on trouble shooting and analysis, essential for key global projects/programs related to Visa Direct

  • Closely work with other Product line owners, partners, and engineering teams to define and develop detailed product/business requirements

  • An independent thinker with a great eye for detail that has  an innovative approach and a deep appreciation of market needs

  • Application of project management best practice to provide guidance to stakeholders

  • A team player that can bridge the gap between business and technology while effectively collaborating with various teams across Visa globally

  • Enable development of the core platform along with feature sets spanning the end-to-end payments lifecycle

  • Open minded approach, and a positive attitude

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Business Administration

  • 5 to 7 years of payment processing technology experience is required

  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office tools (Specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint is a plus)

  • General understanding of APIs and services is a plus

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work independently with strong time management and ability to execute on multiple concurrent deliverables
