We are seeking a visionary and experienced Chief Engineer to join our luxury resort in Villa Haven, Maldives. As the leader of our engineering team, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the resort's engineering operations, ensuring the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and guest satisfaction.

• Develop and implement strategic plans for the resort's engineering operations, including maintenance, renovations, and new projects
• Lead and mentor a team of engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation
• Manage the resort's infrastructure, including power generation, water treatment, and waste management systems
• Oversee preventive maintenance programs to ensure optimal performance of all facilities and equipment
• Collaborate with other department heads to enhance guest experience through engineering solutions
• Develop and manage annual budgets for engineering operations and capital improvements
• Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and environmental standards
• Implement sustainable engineering practices to minimize the resort's environmental impact
• Analyze and optimize energy consumption and operational efficiency across the property
• Stay current with emerging technologies and engineering best practices in the hospitality industry

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical)
• Professional Engineering (PE) license
• Minimum of 10 years of engineering experience, with at least 5 years in a senior engineering role
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team
• Strong project management skills and experience overseeing large-scale engineering projects
• Extensive knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and structural elements
• Proficiency in CAD software and engineering design tools
• Experience with budget management and cost control
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisive decisions under pressure
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• In-depth understanding of safety regulations and compliance requirements
• Experience in resort or hospitality engineering is highly preferred
• Knowledge of sustainable engineering practices and tropical climate engineering challenges
• Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment and handle multiple priorities simultaneously
