Job Description
This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from our Dublin office.
What the day will look like
As a Senior Developer, you will contribute to the delivery of capabilities in an evolving technology team. You will act as a senior technical contributor in the team and support junior developers in their development journey. Some people management may be required.
You will work in a fully Agile Scrum/Kanban team with a diverse range of technologies and colleagues with a range of perspectives.
Main responsibilities
- Build and maintain Single Page Applications, using technologies such as TypeScript, React and D3.js.
- Use C# to build APIs for specific application use and wider use across the application estate.
- Contribute to design, build, test and maintenance activities, including delivering solutions and resolving issues for the business.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines as code.
- Follow development standards through automation tooling and manual controls, including JIRA, Agile standards, code reviews and release automation.
- Work with Product Owners, Scrum Masters and Business Analysts on the vision, design, requirements and delivery of web-based analytics applications.
- Develop an understanding of the functional and non-functional requirements of the application, how customers use it, and how best to serve these needs.
- Support the effective operation of business systems through Level 3 support of application incidents, including triaging bugs, code and data fixes, testing and patching processes.
- Share knowledge with other members of the team.
- Support QA in testing products and resolving found issues.
- Deliver and maintain solution and process documentation to an agreed level.
- Track and report on progress to the IT Development Manager, Product Owners and Scrum Masters.
Qualifications
- Minimum 6 years of experience in development, including C# and advanced JavaScript.
- Experience with React is preferred.
- BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent experience.
- Ability to stay up to date with current software development trends and translate those into solutions.
- Experience with cloud technologies, including AWS.
- Experience with serverless architecture, Agile, DevOps, CI/CD and database technologies.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work constructively with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Experience working in Agile environments.
- Experience working with time-sensitive priorities or incident-led support work.
Desirable experience
- UI/UX experience.
