Job Description

This role is for a dynamic and enthusiastic Senior Endpoint Management Engineer who enjoys working in a fast-paced, multidiscipline team. The successful candidate will be a solid team player, have the ability to lead others technically and have an excellent attitude for configuration management.

We have a hybrid or fully remote role open. The mission of this team is to prove that IT can deliver tangible benefits to Version 1’s business.  This will be achieved through excellence in information technology solutions and services that support, enable, and protect all business systems. 

This role is primarily about providing Enterprise Endpoint Management of the desk-side estate for Apple and Windows-based endpoints. Acting as the primary Senior Technical Escalation point and Technical Delivery Lead for Endpoint Systems Administration and Configuration Management. As well as focusing on continuous improvement initiatives for the existing infrastructure. There will also be a substantial element of project work associated with this role, where the successful candidate can gain significant experience in new and existing technologies.

As an internally facing department tasked with the support of more than 3000 people, there is plenty of room for the right individual to learn, develop and lead others. Work here is varied and exciting.

Qualifications

Experience:

  • Have excellent troubleshooting skills coupled with excellent customer service skills
  • Have strong interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills
  • Have experience in writing technical processes and procedures
  • Familiarity with Windows and Mac OS desktop support tasks and deployment methods
  • Managing the workstation lifecycle, from sourcing to deployment, ongoing maintenance as well as retirement & disposal

Requirements:

  • Strong experience in systems administration
  • Strong knowledge of Windows OS
  • Experience administering tools like SCCM or Intune for Windows Endpoint Management OR Jamf for Apple-based Endpoint Management
  • Experience in designing & developing scripts using languages like but not limited to bash, Python, or PowerShell
  • Experience with ticketing tools like ServiceNow
  • Knowledge and understanding of ITIL Framework
  • Certifications such as Jamf Pro 200 are desirable but not mandatory

Desirable Skills: 

  • Previous experience with macOS OR Windows
  • Beyond Trust, (Formerly Avecto) Privilege Guard expertise is highly desirable.
  • Strong process-oriented experience in terms of implementation and completion
  • Previous experience aligning configurations with security frameworks
  • Strong ability to collaborate with the Information Security Team
  • Experience in ITIL oriented environment
  • Ability to work well in a cross-team environment
