Job Description

Version 1 are looking for talented Java Developers with a DevOps environment exposure to build solutions to meet one of our public sector clients digital service needs for a centralized documentation system. The Applications Developers will be working in an Agile Development team and delivering a multi-year digital transformation project.  

Qualifications

The following are essential skills:

  • Working experience as a Java Developer in a DevOps environment
  • Experience on Centralized Documentation Systems 
  • Exposure to automating deployments into containers

Experience of the following technical areas:

  • Application servers (i.e. Websphere, WildFly)
  • Websphere BP (Business Process Manager)
  • Message brokers (i.e. IBM-MQ, RabbitMQ)
  • ELK (ElasticSearch, Logstash, Kibana)
  • Linux
  • Application monitoring (i.e. Sensu, AppDynamics)

Development skills in the following technical areas:

  • Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring RestTemplate)
  • Docker / docker swarm containerisation of microservices

The following are preferred skills:

  • Familiar with or experience of building solutions to meet the Digital Service Standard
  • Experience of working within Agile multidiscipline teams

Experience of the following technical areas:

  • Schedulers (i.e. Berlin Scheduler)
  • Amazon Web Services (including CloudWatch)

Development skills in the following technical areas:

  • Hashicorp Vault integration
  • Robot framework (test automation)

Due to the nature of this role the successful candidates must be able to gain or currently hold security clearable
