Job Description

CNBC is seeking an Associate Producer/ Writer to support both CNBC Digital and CNBC TV, with a focus on business, markets, and emerging areas such as prediction markets. This role blends control room production experience with reporting and writing responsibilities in a fast-paced newsroom environment.

Responsibilities

  • Operate effectively in a high-intensity, fast-paced control room environment
  • Research, develop, and report on story ideas, with a focus on emerging areas such as prediction markets
  • Write clear, concise, and timely digital articles under deadline pressure
  • Collaborate closely with digital teams and CNBC TV show teams
  • Assist in producing content for new media platforms, including social media and live chat environments
  • Support production needs for CNBC programming as required

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, business, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 1–2+ years of television production and/or business reporting experience
  • Working knowledge of financial markets and how Wall Street operates
  • Strong writing, reporting, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet tight deadlines
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings (7 AM start), breaking news, and extended shifts as needed

Work Environment

This is a hybrid position, requiring in-office presence at least three days per week.
