Job Description
ISO, a Verisk business, is looking to advance a high-powered SAAS product suite into the future. This product suite is focused on the P&C insurance market with a heavy focus on ISO’s core insurance products through large-scale data assets and associated internal and external facing technology infrastructure. We are embarking on a multi-year journey to modernize the product suite, architecture, and associated technology/infrastructure.
This individual will be responsible for collaborating across the organization to document and gather critical information for product improvement opportunities and apply their knowledge of carrier filing processes to ultimately craft suggestions/recommendations that will enable our customer to integrate our offerings into their normal workflow and make better decisions. The successful candidate will collaborate with key leaders and subject matter experts to gain consensus on a path forward and will demonstrate the ability to create and define a pilot execution plan that includes key activities, key deliverables, and key performance indicators. As such, the candidate will balance a strategic mindset with achieving results.
Responsibilities:
- Develop extensive knowledge of all products and features to support customers, sales, implementation and service
- Provide first-level support to answer customer and field support questions and triage issues for resolution Work directly with customers and collaborate with different ISO groups to fully understand and integrate customer insurance program coverage and policy information to prepare robust and effective metadata standards
- Assist in developing enhanced data management capabilities that serve customers with personalized services
- Demonstrate initiative through recommending and implementing process improvements that further the long-term metadata and strategy of the business unit.
- Liaise with Product Development, QA, Support and Customers to identify features, enhancements and issues; document, and provide answers and direction back to customers and stakeholders
- Support other products and projects as necessary
- This role requires travel to customer sites as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business related field, or strong relevant background
- 5+ years’ experience in Software Product Management, Strategy, or Digital Transformation with SAAS and B2B products and projects
- Work with Business users to elicit & validate requirements for modernization
- Detail-oriented with ability to manage and execute simultaneous projects and tasks
- 3+ years of P&C insurance carrier experience in Product Management, Product Development, Underwriting, or Operations a strong plus
- Exposure to and knowledge of ISO core lines products (rate, rules, forms) or experience in drafting or reviewing insurance form language a plus
- Prepare Functional Requirement Documents & User Stories
- Self-motivated with a high level of initiative. Comfortable working both independently and with a team.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to present both in person and virtually to senior management and train client audiences on a business and technical level
- Appreciation for nuance of customer/ user experience; ability to think through how to utilize feedback and other data
- Building consensus across business areas and other stakeholders to support new ways of thinking about product capability and value
- Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss technical concepts with technical and non-technical employees
- Serves as an advocate for the customer and pursues products/services that promote ease of doing business and delivery of information that enables improved decision making
