Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Execute an ambitious ground-up product buildout and launch in support of customers in the nonadmitted space, tailored to the short- and long-term needs of the market
- Partner with various internal teams and customer development partners to, incrementally:
- Build technical data intake processes and systems and maintenance procedures; leverage current capabilities and create new options as needed with a goal of customer-friendliness and efficiency
- Create market-specific analytics and pricing factors as needed
- Deliver policy language options specifically for this market, at speed
- Proactively engage in customer feedback and iteration sessions and conduct market research to validate/uncover product innovations and enhancements, including new data collection and related processes
- Lead the product portion of sales and renewal opportunities to ensure effective messaging and positioning of the solution’s value proposition with all segmentations of customers, including both large and small carriers, from underwriter to C-Suite level stakeholders
- Liaise with product development (coverage, actuarial, and analytics), marketing, customer engagement, pricing, project management, sales, executives, and other cross-functional team members to ensure solution delivery driven by customer needs
- Partner with writing and marketing teams to provide industry thought leadership through white papers, articles, presentations, conferences, and customer conversations

Qualifications
Requirements:
- 5 to 10 years underwriting, actuarial, or insurance product development/product management experience in excess and surplus lines
- Quantitative background with a deep understanding of how data and analytics can solve insurance market challenges and create new opportunities for carriers. Must be able to work in depth with insurance policy datasets and zoom out/communicate broad concepts to stakeholders and executives who are not deep technical experts
- Passionate about enabling customer success, strong business acumen, results driven
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills. Ability to communicate effectively (verbally and in writing) with internal staff and external stakeholders
- Comfortable speaking in front of a room full of industry executives but can also dive into the details of a challenging quantitative problem to solve customer needs
- Strong critical thinking, analytical problem-solving and negotiating skills; business creativity is a must
- 10% - 15% travel as needed
