Job Description
This is a hybrid position, so we are looking for candidates who are comfortable and available to come in to our office at 15955 La Cantera Pkwy San Antonio, TX 78256 at least 2 days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday). Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays are work from home.
Vericast is looking to add an Accounts Receivable Cash App Associate IV to their Finance team! The ideal candidate will be very detail-oriented, analytical and curious. We value strong organization and communication skills. This position will be responsible for supporting the team by handling very high-level assistance to clients and, working closely in collaborating with our Collections team. Additionally, we are looking for someone who is comfortable being a Subject Matter Expert for testing system enhancement upgrades/projects when they are implemented and influencing adaptive change for their team.
KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Utilize expertise to assist with the following:
- Timely and accurately perform assigned daily tasks, including but not limited to posting of cash receipts, processing refunds, performing complex account reconciliations, answering internal and external client emails and assigned reporting duties.
- Offer assistance with day to day department needs.
- Accurately act as a back-up and fill in as needed to ensure adequate staffing is available depending on work volume.
- Train new associates and update training material periodically.
- Independently resolve internal and external client problems.
- Periodic review of department policies and procedures and perform audits to ensure compliance.
- Internal and external audit projects.
- Preparing and balancing daily and monthly cash receipt reconciliations.
- Prepare ad hoc reports as needed to build efficiencies. Pull necessary audit support as requested.
- Act as liaison with IT and 3rd Party processors on occasion to resolve system-related issues (i.e.; failed lockbox transmissions missing image files 170 server problems etc.) Act as tester and backup point of contact for any system enhancements and/or programming changes.
- Performs Basic to Complex account Reconciliations, without assistance.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
EDUCATION
- High School Degree (Required)
- 4 year college degree, Preferred
EXPERIENCE
- 3-5 years business to business Cash applications in a high-volume/high-transaction environment
- Skilled in accounting and billing concepts
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Access
- Experience with HighRadius, SAP/Oracle navigation preferred
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
- Excellent organizational & time management skills; must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to prioritize based on department and company standards.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- Client service oriented
- Knowledge of products/services policies and system interfaces is a plus. General ledger familiarity.
- Strong interpersonal skills – including clear and effective written and verbal communication
DECISION MAKING
- System issue resolution.
- Balancing declined credit cards with both client and banks.
- Ability to determine proper GL to code cash receipts, credit/Debits, refunds, bad debt, misc. revenue, etc.
- Offers guidance on systems and processes providing back-up as needed.
Additional Information
Hourly compensation: $25.00-$27.00 per hour
The ultimate compensation offered for the position will depend upon several factors such as skill level, cost of living, experience, and responsibilities.
