Job Description

JOB SUMMARY

Position will be responsible for coaching, teaching, training, and removing barriers to enable high performance work teams meet their time, cost, and quality goals, as well as be accountable for their technical and behavioral standards. Manufacturing processes need to be followed and controlled to include but not limited to performance management process, certification process, production control and quality control. Leading/facilitating manufacturing projects as assigned.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coaching, training, and facilitating team performance to meet or exceed time, cost, and quality goals and measures. Coach both individual and the team on performance behavioral technical aspects of their jobs or duties; ensure quality training is taking place within the certification requirements for all team members whether on initial (new hire) skill training or additional skill training. Facilitate and remove barriers for teams when situations arise. Utilize reporting processes to ensure the team is staying within their designated goals.
  • Leading and/or facilitating special projects that enable continuous improvement of the team and/or plant performance in alignment with our performance excellence guideline.
  • Responsible for the team's performance management process to include staffing, recruitment/retention, performance reviews, workforce planning, quality process and recognition. Interview and select candidates that meet the necessary criteria to fulfill the team's goals and objectives. Recognize and conduct initiatives to retain and ensure team members can move towards high performance goals. Conduct semi-annual performance reviews; guide the team on its workforce planning initiatives, ensuring the correct skill set of team members are in areas to attain goals. Ensure all team members are following quality guidelines, policies, and procedures.

Qualifications

EDUCATION

  • High School Diploma or GED (Required)
  • Bachelor's Degree (Preferred)

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 2-3 years' experience in a leadership/supervisory role
  • 3-5 years' manufacturing experience

CERTIFICATIONS & LICENSURES

  • Certification or additional training/education in high performing work teams/facilitation/ continuous improvement/ project management, a plus

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs specifically Word and Excel
  • Above average multi-tasking and organizational skills necessary
  • Project management skills

COMMUNICATION & CONTACTS

  • Internal contacts, facility employees, corporate Technical Support (Help) Desk, corporate manufacturing group, external contacts, external outside vendors as required, and technical support vendors.

DECISION MAKING

  • Accountable and responsible for the team’s overall decisions regarding time, cost, quality initiatives, assessment of employee’s need for counseling and/or corrective action, workforce scheduling of the team and/or shift department.
  • All team members are responsible

Additional Information

Annual Salary: $77,000-$82,000 + 8% bonus opportunity 

The ultimate compensation offered for the position will depend upon several factors such as skill level, cost of living, experience, and responsibilities
