Job Description
Position Summary: The Senior Vice President of Digital Sales delivers on Vericast Digital business sales goals to grow revenue and market share through innovation, business development, account management, customer focus, and relationships. The Senior Vice President will ensure the execution and implementation of sales strategies and sales processes and develop strong sales teams capable of executing the business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the teams to meet and exceed the assigned revenue targets
- Manage the successful execution of the sales plans, meeting objectives, goals, benchmarks, and defined metrics
- Measure and evaluate strategic implementation against intended results. Responsible for results attained through effective execution against business development and business performance goals
- Develop annual strategic business plans to drive revenue, new business creation, product-specific sales strategies, gross revenue retention, and growth in industry verticals
- Work with the Product, Marketing, and finance organizations in supporting product and service go-to-market strategies
- Focus sales teams on the development and retention of top clients to increase revenue, product integration, and ROI
- Cultivate top-to-top relationships with key clients and prospects to further company goals, negotiate key strategic issues, and build the business
- Work with the Product and marketing organizations to collect and analyze market research, customer research, and competitive analysis
- Create and develop executable programs, materials, and processes that are driven by market and business insights
- Provide accurate forecasts and monthly business updates and have a disciplined approach to pipeline management, including driving forecasts from the primary sales management system, namely Salesforce
- Hire, retain, coach, lead, and develop direct reports
- Effectively and timely performance manage associates not meeting assigned objectives
- Ensure optimal organizational structure to achieve sales team objectives and manage labor efficiencies
Qualifications
Education & Knowledge:
- Bachelor’s degree required
Experience / Skills and Competencies:
- 17+ year’s experience showing career progression and successful performance in a combination of the following:
- Media, Advertising
- The Digital MarTech Ecosystem
- SaaS technology platforms
- Understanding of solution selling using integrated products
- New business development
- 8+ years of leadership experience
- 8+ years of Digital media/product experience
- Experience working at a company that evolved from managed services to a technology license-based revenue model ideal
- Strong financial acumen; understanding of budgets, pricing, product sales, and the associated effect on EBIDTA & profit
- Ongoing evaluation of sales and product performance, driving and shifting strategy to increase profitability
- Visualize, plan, and execute objectives and goals
- Strong corporate presence; ability to effectively present to high-level Executives
- Experience in forecasting and sales reporting
- Expert market and industry knowledge.
- Expert in driving a team to produce sales results, including lead generation, solution selling and closing sales
- Exhibit expert skills in: qualification, conceptual selling, storytelling, presentation delivery, and negotiation
- Adapt to change, including the market, products, and internal company initiatives
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
- A strong influencer on key decision-makers
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, integrity
- Consistent track record of success in achieving and exceeding annual quota and business objectives
- Lead by example
Communication & Contacts (Internal/External):
- Communication with clients and internal co-workers – all levels of management, business leadership, customers, suppliers and other internal/external entities as required
- Highly effective at presentations
Decision Making Scope:
- Significant autonomous decision making authority
- Requires broad conceptual judgment and ability to deal with complex factors
Other:
Travel required in and outside of the country. Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
Additional Information
Base Salary Range: $255,000 - $275,000
Position is eligible for bonus/variable compensation
The ultimate compensation offered for the position will depend upon several factors such as skill level, cost of living, experience, and responsibilities.
