Job Description

Summary of the Job
As the Field Engineering Intern you will be joining a strong technical service environment. In this
role, you will have an opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals within the field of
industrial water treatment. You will gain exposure supporting water treatment systems and assist the
organization in achieving its annual goals and objectives as an active participant.

Duties & Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to);
● Generate system drawings, PFDs, for use in on-site manuals and proposals
● Conduct wet testing in laboratory on water samples
● Actively monitor process equipment performance through online tools
● Assist in completing monthly reporting requirements
● Manage bulk chemical inventory and assist with ordering chemical products as required
● Work with supervisors on plant equipment optimization opportunities
● Perform field checks on process equipment (flows, pH, conductivity, chemical residuals, etc.)

Qualifications

Skills
Experience performing basic chemical tasks such as titrations, pH & conductivity measurements, and
using other simple chemistry lab instruments
● Basic mechanical skills to help troubleshoot chemical feed equipment
● Computer skills – use of Microsoft Office, Visio, and online data Management
● Strong teamwork & communication skills
● Ability to prioritize and maintain deliverables in a fast-paced work environment

Education & Experience
This role is best suited for anyone currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) program
(Chemical, Environmental, Industrial, or Mechanical) or a Chemistry Bachelor of Science (BSc)
program. Consideration will also be given to other science-based technical programs and degrees.

Working Conditions
● Ability to lift equipment or modules weighing up to 30 lbs. occasionally.
● Exposure to municipal and industrial wastewater and cleaning chemicals.
● The work environments consist of various settings, including office, industrial facilities, and
laboratories.
