Pay Rate: $80000 to $90000 Per Year.

Position Purpose: 

This position supports the VNA Procurement function through purchasing program administration, data analysis, and data visualization / reporting activities including but not limited to category and market assessments, purchasing contract utilization, RFP / bid preparation, Procure to Pay metric tracking, savings reporting, as well as identifying and supporting process improvement opportunities. Responsible for supporting both the strategic sourcing and operations sub-teams within Procurement and working with key stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Primary Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain and improve key metrics and dashboards to improve the performance of the purchasing activity across the organization (procure to pay processes, spend, PO holds and exceptions, non-compliant activities).
  • Perform complex procurement-related data analyses as needed to support the business units and functions (RFP support to the strategic sourcing team, catalog pricing updates, total cost of ownership, supplier evaluations, market dynamics study, purchase order exceptions, spend analysis/interpretation).
  • Support opportunity assessments and benchmarking to develop sourcing opportunities.
  • Support procurement manager development and administration of supplier assessments, scorecards, and other analytics to manage supplier performance.
  • Monitor, document and report savings resulting from category-specific and any other procurement performance initiatives.
  • Synthesize information across a variety of sources to drive meaningful insights and make actionable recommendations.
  • Deliver the main conclusions derived from analyses performed and findings by using verbal and written communication skills.
  • Actively contribute to driving continuous improvement within the Purchasing Operations team by identifying major areas of opportunities using tools/techniques such as data analysis, benchmarks, ride-alongs, interviews and site visits.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education/Experience/Background:

  • Bachelor’s Degree is required; business, supply chain or related field of study is preferred.
  • 2+ years procurement or finance experience in a large organization preferred or equivalent with more than 5+ years of experience.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • PC skills are essential with expert proficiency in MS Office Suite/Google Suite (specifically Excel/Sheets).
  • Demonstrated expertise in data visualization tools. Knowledge of PowerBI is a plus.
  • Familiarity with database management languages such as SQL.
  • Strong technology skills and experience using various ERP procurement software Familiarity with S4 Hana, PeopleSoft and Ariba is a plus.
  • Knowledge of techniques and processes involved in strategic sourcing.
  • Solid problem-solving and analytical skills are required. Must be comfortable manipulating complex data, evaluating complex issues such as large operational and financial datasets and pragmatic structuring and solving ambiguous problems.
  • Ability to understand operational processes and drive continuous improvement.
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly both in written and verbal formats.
  • Ability to prioritize work, communicate bottlenecks and to meet deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work on multiple projects at one time.
  • Must have a demonstrated ability to work in both team and independent settings.

Required Certification/Licenses/Training:

  • CPSM certification (completed or in progress) is a plus (Certified Professional in Supply Management).
