Job Description
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Leader Supervisor is responsible for overseeing / leading the day-to-day maintenance activities performed by both Veolia personnel and contractors. He is responsible for instructing, guiding and coaching the Veolia maintenance operator reporting to him.
Main Responsibilities:
- Supervise the daily activities of the in-house maintenance team and subcontractors according to weekly planning and emergencies;
- Manage the personnel under his/her immediate responsibility providing instruction, coaching and advice;
- Work in close collaboration with the maintenance planner under the direction of the Maintenance Manager;
- Follow up with the maintenance staff on problems in order to make the necessary corrections;
- Update KPI's and perform analysis during daily operational meetings in collaboration with the maintenance planner;
- Participate in the Plant Maintenance Management Team as an active member;
- Ensure and maintain a good work climate within his team;
- Ensure and maintain a good work climate within his team; Ensure the accountability of the personnel in terms of order and cleanliness to be respected in the work areas;
- Carry out and document audits of tasks, work permits and maintenance of premises;
- Ensure the application of health and safety rules, environmental protection and the behavior of personnel;
- Ensure tasks are performed according to work instructions and procedures established under the ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 programs and document non-conformance events;
- All other related duties.
Qualifications
Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
- DEC or DEP in industrial mechanics or relevant experience;
- Minimum three (3) to five (5) years of relevant experience in personnel management;
- Minimum ten (10) years of industrial maintenance experience in the chemical and petrochemical field;
- Relevant experience in personnel management in a unionized work environment;
- Technical knowledge of industrial maintenance in the chemical and petrochemical field;
- Ability to mobilize a work team;
- Interpersonal, teamwork and customer service skills;
- Good time management, priority setting and ability to manage and resolve technical issues quickly;
- Exceptional communication skills;
- Leadership, initiative and organizational skills;
- Demonstrate a high level of proactivity;
- Coaching and staff development skills;
- Ability to lead change while maintaining operational effectiveness;Ability to manage multiple files simultaneously;
- Results oriented;
- Computer skills, particularly excellent proficiency in Microsoft Suite and Google Suite.
Work Environment:
This is a full-time position with a weekday work schedule. The incumbent must be available during peak production periods and must be able to work under pressure occasionally. The incumbent spends approximately 80% of his/her time in the field and 20% in the office.
