Job Description
Flexcity is looking for a Demand response market analyst. You will join a dynamic team that is committed to the energy transition, and in which you will immediately be given your own responsibilities. On the basis of the technical data that you will receive and taking into account the current market conditions, you will calculate the flexible power potential of industrial customers. You win the customer's trust by making clear assumptions about the industrial process, and convince the customer with quality studies. You work closely with a Technical Account Manager within the team, who is in direct contact with the customer. Together, you translate the detailed studies into an easily understandable proposal for the customer. Your communication skills (written and oral) are therefore just as important as your analytical skills!
In addition, you will be involved in the day-to-day valorisation of Flexcity's portfolio on the reserve markets. Flexcity is a leading aggregator in The Netherlands and other European countries. You will contribute to the strategic bids and calculate the settlements for the industrial clients. In doing so, you scrupulously apply the rules of the system operator TenneT and take into account the market conditions (imbalance prices, etc). A good knowledge of the Dutch energy market or a profound interest in this topic is therefore a must.
Your responsibilities
- For new sites, assess the flexibility characteristics of the installations
- Identify and quantify the various risks
- Based on the flexibility characteristics and our current portfolio, evaluate the value that the sites could add to the portfolio
- Together with the technical account manager, draw up technical proposals for new and existing clients and provide technical support
- Assist with the integration of the assets into our portfolio
- You offer client support and communicate directly with our clients
Qualifications
Your skills and profile
- Database design and management skills
- Database structures and algorithms skills
- Data preparation and pattern recognition
- Strong analytical skills for data analysis
- Proactive approach and strong sense of responsibility
- Technical interest in new technologies and passion for energy are a must
- Fluent in English and Dutch. Any other language is a plus
- You have a master's degree, preferably in engineering
- You are flexible, not afraid to think outside the box and you love to share your knowledge
- You are results-oriented with a pragmatic and professional attitude
- You are a team player with a "can do" mentality
- Strong written and oral communication skills, both internally and externally
