Job Description
Responsibilities:
Have basic understanding of P&ID and is able to read heat and mass balance diagrams.
Has basic understanding in pre treatment, filtration and post treatment
Review P&IDs and provide mark ups per project specification and mass balance diagram.
Mark up P&IDs customer tagging or international tagging requirements, ex. KKS tagging
Fully understand the requirement and impact of heat & mass balance diagram and interpret on P&ID line flows.
Perform sanity checks of P&IDs w.r.t. pressure, flow, storage level requirements, MOC detailing, dosing studies, product fact checks such as membrane details.
Perform line sizing and velocity check calculations
Ensure correctness of P&ID and incorporate as sold requirements to customer on the P&IDs w.r.t to proposal engineering.
Ensure correctness, verify and cross check process projection calculations , ex membrane tank sizing, blower capacity and sizing, air for mixing requirements
Independently perform line sizing & velocity check calculations using applicable standards or best engineering practice
Independently develop equipment list along with equipment weight calculations
Thorough understanding and interpretation of MOCs, piping specifications with applicable codes & standards like ASME, ASTM, API, DIN
Independently develop valve lists selecting compatible and optimized material constructs
Independently develop electrical load list along with electrical load calculations.
Qualifications
Engineering Degree – Mechanical, Chemical
