Job Description

Main tasks and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Data Collection: Gather relevant data on our operational processes, including energy consumption, transportation, raw materials, etc.

Emission Analysis: Use standardized methods to calculate GHG emissions associated with our activities, using specialized carbon footprint calculation tools.

Impact Assessment: Evaluate the environmental impact of our operations in terms of climate change, resource consumption, and waste generation.

Strategic Recommendations: Formulate strategic recommendations to reduce our carbon footprint, identifying optimization and substitution opportunities.

Reporting and Communication: Prepare detailed reports on analysis results, highlighting strengths, weaknesses, and potential areas for improvement. Participate in internal and external communication on our sustainability efforts 

Ability to work with specialized software tools, such as GREENPATH and Bilan Carbone® software

Support the QHSE and Tender/Proposals Department in the prequalification and tender questionnaires related to Sustainability

Be active in Internal and External Sustainability Groups, Seminars, Webinars, Exhibitions

Promote continual improvement within the company at different functions and levels related to Sustainability and environmental aspects & Impacts

Liaise with the QHSE and other departments in order to get the required certifications related to sustainability and carbon footprint calculations when needed

Coordinate with the Carbon Correspondent community to collect and analyze the needed data to set up action plans for the Business Unit for scope 1,2 and 3.

Qualifications

Background in environmental science, chemical engineering, earth sciences, or a related field

Knowledge of carbon footprint calculation principles and GHG analysis methods

Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex data.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, in English
