Job Description
To act as the operational legal support for projects in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Main tasks and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- To review all contract documentation included in tender documents and identify contractual/legal risks.
- To propose clarifications and/or qualifications to the client’s tender documentation to comply with the VWT risk policy.
- To advise and lead contractual negotiations with clients and potential partners,
- To draft required contractual documentation (consortium agreements, memorandums of understanding, joint venture agreements, subcontract agreements, purchase contracts, etc.).
- When awarded, to provide contractual guidelines for the execution of the Project.
- To assist with contract management duties by providing constant legal and contractual support to project managers.
- To prepare the legal reporting to the General Counsel Middle East & Turkey with respect to legal matters.
- To attend monthly meetings with Project Managers to keep both parties abreast of contractual/legal developments.
- To anticipate and handle potential contractual/legal risks
- To identify and prepare potential claims.
- To follow up and settle claims & disputes and coordinate with our external lawyers.
- To draft legal notices when required to our Clients and Suppliers.
Qualifications
Job specifications
Qualifications: LL.M (Master in Law); Bachelor in Law
Experience : 5+ years
Specific training: Preference in EPC contracts and FIDIC.
Reports to: Middle East - General Counsel

QHSE Commitments
- Ensure the applicable QHSE Policies and standards/requirements/procedures are being applied and maintained
- Liaise with the internal or external interested parties during the QHSE audits/inspections
- Ensure that all the work activities at site/plant/project are controlled with the help of QHSE procedures, risk assessment (or LMRA) & the valid work permit
- Ensure the implementation of customer satisfaction requirements
- Ensure to report Incidents (near misses, unsafe conditions, unsafe actions & etc.)
- Keep the documented information as evidence ensuring the compliance to QHSE Management System
