Job Description

The Sales Proposal Officer is part of the Business Development Department and works together with the technical team to ensure successful completion and responsiveness of the company proposals. The Officer will support the BD team on complex prime proposals and directly manage sub or less complex prime opportunities from all emirates to support the company's strategic interests in water and wastewater markets.

Sales & Business Development

  • Identify and track potential Business opportunities / tenders that are consistent with company core competencies and Sales strategic priorities
  • Manage Proposals in collaboration with the BD team and technical staff. The Sales Proposal Officer is in charge of the following:
  1. Analyze tender documents and synthesize input to support Go / No Go decisions
  2. Liaise with prime contractors and organizations related to specific proposal opportunities
  3. Build the pricing model in collaboration with the internal stakeholders
  4. Synthesize the Commercial offer and Technical proposal
  5. Manage proposal submissions, assuring on-time delivery of all documents
  6. Meet customers to present company offer, follow-up and closing
  7. Support transition of awarded projects to implementation team and Finance department
  • Competitive watch: Gather, synthesize and support analysis of information about partners, competitors and new potential markets
  • Business Development: Seek for new market opportunities aligned with the 2022 Sales Roadmap
  • Customers / Prospects focus: Nurture and maintain relationships with clients
  • Provide regular reporting on proposal status and results ; Maintain updated information on electronic libraries
  • Draft, route and track contractual documents

QHSE & Compliance

  • Strictly adhere to QHSE and Compliance Standards
  • Follow all HSE policies and procedures.
  • Employ safe work practices
  • Report all Incidents (Near Misses and Accidents) to the Safety Officer/Manager.

Qualifications

Educational Level

  • Degree/ Diploma in Business development or related field, or
  • Degree/ Diploma in Engineering (Environment, Water, Chemistry, Civil, MEICA or related field) with associated BD experience

​​​​​​​Experience

  • 5 years or more experience in B to B industries ; in Wastewater market would be a plus

Licenses and Certification

  • Valid UAE Driving License
