Job Description

As an Senior EnterpriseIntegration Specialist at Vention…

Vention's largest customers run mission-critical automation lines on our platform — and this role is the technical heart of those relationships. You'll own a portfolio of our most strategic enterprise accounts, serving as the single senior point of contact they trust to navigate complex integrations, high-stakes escalations, and expansion conversations alike. Whether you're running an Executive Business Review in the morning or digging into a control system failure in the afternoon, you'll bring both depth and calm to every situation.

This is a senior IC-track role where the work is roughly 70% account management and customer-facing, 30% hands-on technical resolution. You won't manage direct reports, but you'll set the technical bar for our Integration Specialists and shape the product roadmap through the insights you bring back from the field.

What You'll Do:

  • Own a portfolio of strategic enterprise accounts. You'll be the named technical owner on Vention's largest accounts, running Executive Business Reviews alongside the Account Executive and being the person leadership calls when an account is at risk or ready to expand.
  • Drive L3/L4 escalations from first response to root cause. When the integration team can't resolve an issue, you step in — orchestrating Engineering and Product where needed — and own the outcome end-to-end.
  • Project-manage high-stakes deployments. When flagship automation lines go live, remotely or on-site, you lead from start to finish and are in the room when it counts.
  • Mentor Integration Specialists. You won't carry direct reports, but you'll set the technical standard on the team and actively develop the people around you.
  • Close the loop between the field and the product. You'll bring recurring customer pain to Product, Engineering, and QA, lead UAT on major releases, and make sure what you're hearing from customers actually shapes the roadmap.

Qualifications

What You Bring to the Table:

We're looking for skills, intellect, and experiences that will help you succeed in this role but we also know that various profiles (not only the one described below) could be successful. If you're excited about what you read and think you'd be a great fit, we encourage you to apply, even if you don't meet every single qualification.

You'll bring:

  • 5+ years in industrial automation, robotic systems integration, or senior technical support — with meaningful time in a senior, customer-facing capacity
  • Robot programming mastery in at least two of: Fanuc, Universal Robots, or ABB — this is a hard requirement, not a nice-to-have
  • The ability to learn and work within Vention's automation stack (MachineMotion, MachineLogic, custom Python logic), or the demonstrated ability to ramp on it fast
  • Exceptional communication skills — you can move between debugging a control system at the bench and presenting a remediation plan to a VP of Operations on the same day, and you write clear post-mortems
  • A track record commissioning industrial automation systems and resolving complex, multi-system failures end-to-end
  • Fluency in English; French and/or Spanish are a strong asset given our customer base in Quebec and LATAM
  • A curiosity to learn, a collaborative mindset, and a drive to contribute to something meaningful

Nice to have:

  • Degree in Electrical, Mechatronics, Robotics, or a related engineering field
  • Experience with Zendesk and Jira, and a habit of leaving clean documentation behind you
