Job Description

As a Director of Supply Chain at Vention…

Reporting to the Chief Supply Chain Officer (CSCO), this role is the clear owner of supply chain outcomes. The scope spans procurement, inventory, and strategic sourcing across a 300+ supplier ecosystem, 3,000+ SKUs, and a high-caliber, multi-disciplinary supply chain team operating across regions. Success in this role is measured by consistent delivery against enterprise KPIs:

Service Level · Inventory · Cost Savings · Resilience

This position requires a leader who builds scalable systems, reinforces operating discipline, and develops teams that execute reliably in a fast-growing, complex environment.

As a member of the Operations & Supply Chain Steering Team, this role plays a critical part in shaping how the company scales—ensuring the supply chain remains predictable, resilient, and responsive as volume and complexity increase.

What You’ll Do

Service Level & MRP Performance

  • Establish clear visibility, tracking, and escalation for supplier commitments
  • Manage supplier OTD performance and ETA accuracy to ensure reliable execution against plan
  • Accountable for customer service outcomes through robust MRP design, accuracy, and execution
  • Own MRP logic, parameters, data integrity, and planning cadence
  • Ensure MRP outputs translate into executable supply and procurement plans
  • Align demand signals, planning, sourcing, and execution
  • Lead structured problem solving when service or plan performance degrades
  • Ensure systems support scalable execution, data integrity, and fast decision-making
  • Drive automation across MRP, procurement, and planning to reduce manual effort and increase reliability
    Measured by: Service level (OTIF, fill rate), plan adherence

Inventory Performance & Working Capital

  • Accountable for inventory health while supporting growth and availability
  • Establish inventory strategies that balance service, cash, and risk
  • Enforce segmentation, safety stock logic, and replenishment discipline
  • Ensure MRP parameters support inventory targets without excess
  • Maintain visibility and accountability for inventory exposure
    Measured by: Inventory turns, inventory value

Drives Cost Savings & Margin health

  • Accountable for sustainable, structural cost improvements
  • Lead strategic sourcing and supplier negotiations at scale
  • Drive cost reduction through consolidation, value engineering, and process improvement
  • Implement and enforce master supply agreements
  • Align sourcing decisions with margin and growth objectives
    Measured by: Cost savings, total landed cost

Builds Resilience & Supply Risk

  • Adapt supply chain to evolving geo economic pressures like tariffs and duties
  • Build robust supplier audit and monitoring systems
  • Accountable for supply continuity in the face of disruption
  • Embed risk management into MRP and sourcing strategies
  • Maintain alternate sourcing and contingency plans
  • Anticipate capacity and supply risks before impact
  • Build durable supplier partnerships that improve long-term stability
    Measured by: OTIF

Qualifications

What You Bring to the Table

You’ll bring:

  • 10+ years in manufacturing or industrial supply chains
  • 5+ years in senior leadership roles spanning sourcing, planning, and inventory
  • Proven experience owning MRP performance tied directly to service level
  • Demonstrated success driving results through process, discipline, and KPIs as a player and a coach
  • Experience managing complex, global supplier ecosystems
  • Strong analytical and structured problem-solving capability
  • Build, develop, and retain a high-performing supply chain leadership team
  • Set clear expectations, roles, and accountability across functions
  • Coach leaders to think in systems, KPIs, and root cause
  • Create an environment where strong performers are challenged, supported, and trusted
  • Reinforce a culture of transparency, ownership, and continuous improvement
  • Preferred: technical background such as a degree in engineering & Lean experience
