Your role as a Trainee - Strategic Advisor  

You will join the Strategy and Development team, where we work with corporate strategy, sustainability, risk management, organisational development and continuous improvement across Ringhals. As a Trainee Strategic Advisor, you will contribute to analyses, decision support and development initiatives that help shape the long-term direction of the business. You will collaborate closely with experienced specialists, managers and senior stakeholders across Ringhals and the wider Vattenfall organisation. During your first year, you will gain insight into strategic planning, business development and executive decision-making while developing a broad understanding of the energy sector. This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with experienced leaders and experts, gain first-hand insight into how strategic priorities are developed, and contribute to shaping the future direction of one of Sweden's most important energy assets.

Your responsibilities:

  • Support strategic analyses, reports and decision-making material for management and stakeholders
  • Contribute to business development and organisational improvement initiatives
  • Participate in workshops, meetings and cross-functional projects across Ringhals and Vattenfall
  • Gather, analyse and present information to support strategic priorities and long-term planning

Qualifications

Your qualifications as a Trainee - Strategic Advisor

  • Master's degree in Industrial Engineering and Management, Business Administration, Economics, Technology Management, or a related field
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to structure complex information
  • Excellent communication skills in both Swedish and English, both written and spoken
  • Interest in strategy, business development and organisational improvement

You should also recognize yourself 

  • Curious and eager to learn, with a genuine interest in understanding how large organisations create value and drive development
  • Collaborative and relationship-oriented, with the ability to work effectively with different stakeholders
  • Proactive and comfortable taking ownership of tasks and assignments

To be considered for our traineeship, you should:

  • Have completed, or expect to complete, an academic degree before the programme starts in March 2027.
  • Have no more than one year of relevant work experience after graduation, excluding internships and working-student roles.
  • Be fluent in English.
  • Be available for the full-time programme from its start date.
  • Have the right to work in the country where the position is based, or meet the stated work-permit requirements.
