Are you either an experienced or associate Cost and Value Engineer looking for a new opportunity? Look no further. The purpose of our team is to ensure that we at Onshore Wind reach our very ambitious profitability targets to continue being a best-in-class developer across all markets. Our team has two main focus areas. One is Business Intelligence with five Product Managers focusing on cost and value engineering services – as Cost and Value Engineer you will be part of this team. The second area is the Levelised Cost of Electricity (LCoE) program management consisting of five Program Managers. They focus on the implementation of technical and commercial solutions to improve the profitability of our development portfolio. You will work very closely with this group, and with colleagues from other departments, such as Market Development, Procurement and Project Delivery.

As a Cost and Value Engineer, you will take on a varied number of key responsibilities, depending on your level of experience. As we are a larger team with varied backgrounds, you should also apply if you have experience within only some of them. The key responsibilities are:
Support asset development projects by providing project-specific CAPEX and OPEX estimates throughout the entire development and procurement phases.
Develop and implement models and databases to advance our Business Intelligence strategy, optimize processes for data management and digitalization and contribute to improving our data maturity.
Develop renewable energy plant simulation tools to evaluate the impact of different project and portfolio initiatives, and analyse market trends, competitive landscape, and supplier feedback to identify opportunities.
Finally, we expect you to participate in the development of the team and department strategy.
Location
The location of this position can be either Kolding (DK), Amsterdam (NL) or Stockholm (SWE).
Qualifications
You have an analytical mindset and the ability to structure complex and sometimes contradictory information to effectively identify solutions and solve problems, and able to communicate your proposals to stakeholders in the organisation. You are able to handle uncertainty by operating effectively, even when things are uncertain or the way forward is not clear. You can apply knowledge of business and the marketplace to advance the organization’s goals. You have a structured approach and the ability to plan and prioritize work to meet commitments aligned with organizational goals. You are collaborative and build partnerships to effectively work with others to meet shared objectives. You can openly and comfortably relate with diverse groups of people. You are communicative and can develop and deliver multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences.
Furthermore, you have:
- Minimum a bachelor's degree in Engineering, Economics or similar
- Experience in the renewables sector (preferably wind), especially in cash flow or techno-economic modelling of renewable energy plants would be an advantage
- A strong analytical mindset with experience in data analysis and visualization tools, and systems (e.g., PowerBI)
- Experience in working with data and models and making an impact in delivering successful business solutions
- Experience in preparing solution proposals for decision making
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken
- Self-driven, creative and caring approach
- Flexibility, proactiveness, generosity, friendliness, empathy, grit and a sense of humour
