Job Description
As a Junior Executive - Factory Buyer, you are responsible for the sourcing, expediting, security of supply and inventory control of the materials of the assigned programs. This includes cost management of unexpected demand or change in demand and maintenance of master data. You support the factory’s effectiveness by monitoring material availability, expediting deliveries and exception handling. You will be reporting to the Factory procurement Manager. You should be a dynamic and self-motivated team player with an outstanding personality.
- Decision on sourcing concept and responsible for procurement of assigned materials with place purchase orders assuring on-time availability as factory procurement team.
- Price negotiations for material offers, selection of suppliers and second sources within the existing supplier network and enhance network with new suppliers.
- Close Coordination with Customer Buyer/Strategic Buyer on optimal supply chains and project-specific sourcing strategies.
- Monitoring and controlling of material cost and inventory.
- Maintenance of master data and material planning (SAP).
Qualifications
- Bachelor, Advanced Diploma or an equivalent professional qualification in Supply Chain Management / Procurement from a recognized professional institute.
- Minimum 2 years working experience in the relevant field. Experience in cable & Wire harness manufacturing will be an added advantage.
- Excellent communication skills in English both written and spoken.
- Should be a Team Player processing strong analytical, interpersonal, negotiation and project management skills.
- Ability to multi-task, work under pressure, Follow through commitments and meeting deadlines.
- Working experience in MS Outlook, Excel and Word is necessary. An ERP system preferably with SAP will be an added advantage.
