Job Description
- Assist in using DocuSnap to scan, discover, and inventory network infrastructure (servers, workstations, network devices, Active Directory, etc.).
- Create and maintain clear, structured documentation of network topology, IT assets, and system configurations.
- Design and update network diagrams reflecting current infrastructure (LAN/WAN, VLANs, device connections).
- Support audits of existing IT infrastructure to identify gaps, outdated records, or undocumented devices.
- Generate reports summarizing infrastructure findings for technical and management review.
- Collaborate with IT staff to gather infrastructure details and validate documentation accuracy.
- Help standardize documentation formats/ templates for ongoing infrastructure record-keeping.
- Flag potential security, compliance, or configuration issues discovered during documentation.
- Assist with basic troubleshooting or infrastructure-related tasks as needed.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, IT, Network Engineering, or related field.
- Basic to intermediate understanding of networking concepts (TCP/ IP, subnetting, routing/ switching, DNS, DHCP).
- Familiarity with network topologies and ability to interpret network diagrams.
- Basic knowledge of Windows Server/ Active Directory environments.
- Exposure to network discovery/ documentation tools is a plus (training on DocuSnap will be provided)
- Strong written communication skills for creating technical documentation.
- Familiarity with diagramming tools (Visio, Draw.io, Lucidchart) or willingness to learn.
- Ability to clearly explain technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
