Job Description

We are currently seeking a motivated and skilled Electronics Repair Technician to join our Test Field Department, focusing on Test Production and Electronic Fault Diagnosis. In this role, you will play a key part in troubleshooting, analyzing, and repairing PCB assemblies and maintaining test systems to ensure smooth and efficient production operations.Assist in testing field operations by performing testing operations with advanced testing machines and equipment.

  • Perform fault diagnosis and repair to component level on Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBA).
  • Interpret electronic circuit diagrams and apply repair techniques using soldering and desoldering tools.
  • Conduct fine-pitch hot air soldering on multi-layered boards and miniature surface-mount components.
  • Utilize test and measurement equipment, such as multimeters and oscilloscopes, for fault analysis.
  • Assist in component selection and ordering when required.
  • Ensure work is performed in an ESD-safe environment.
  • Willingness to work on a shift basis as part of the production support schedule.

Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 3 or 4 (or equivalent) in Electronics or Mechatronics from a recognized institute.
  • Strong practical knowledge of electronic systems, circuit analysis, and fault diagnosis.
  • Hands-on experience in soldering, rework, and repair of PCB assemblies.
  • Familiarity with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and power supplies.
  • Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Strong team player with the ability to work independently and manage tasks efficiently.
  • Prior experience in an electronics manufacturing or repair environment will be an added advantage.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, email, and internet applications is preferred.
  • Age between 20–35 years is desirable.
