Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and port broadband gateway software stacks based on OpenWRT (including prplOS), RDK-B, and other legacy stacks to gateway devices.
  • Work with multiple SoC vendors to ensure compatibility and performance optimization of software stacks on different hardware platforms.
  • Customize and deliver features such as VoIP and OMCI, tailored to specific operator requirements.
  • Implement carrier grade features to enable remote management using standard remote management protocols such as TR-069 and TR-369/USP for seamless device management and provisioning.
  • Integrate third-party applications/solutions.
  • Collaborate with team members in various geographic locations to ensure smooth delivery of software in line with Agile Scrum methodologies.
  • Stay updated with broadband standards and open-source solutions.

 

Required Skills:

  • Proven experience in porting and developing OpenWRT & RDK-B stacks on PON & DOCSIS gateway devices
  • Experience in working with Broadband Service Providers
  • Experience working with various SoC vendors
  • Experience with Wi-Fi Mesh solutions
  • Familiarity with VoIP & OMCI
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a globally distributed Scrum team
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges

 

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with prplWare
  • Experience with integration of broadband CPE applications for WiFi management, speed test, security, etc
  • Knowledge of CI/CD practices and automated testing in an embedded software environment
  • Experience of implementation of widely used BBF specifications, such as TR-181, TR-069 and TR-369
