Job Description

Key Responsibilities
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and customers on large scale solutions supporting up to 20 million subscriber devices with high availability either in customer data centers or cloud provider services.
• Collaborate with customers to identify system use-cases, technical gaps, and network
requirements for TR-069 (CWMP) and TR-369 (USP) device integration analysis.
• Lead technical communications with customers, internal engineering, and product management teams to assess platform feasibility and meet customer business needs.
• Convert customer requirements into designs and develop full application and network end-to-end systems, including TR-069 device data model design and network architecture.
• Define company customer solutions with application and network architecture documentation and deliver detailed configuration, automation, and Methods of Procedure (MoP) documentation.
• Perform installation, platform migrations, and 'go-live' deployments, leading to handing over application solutions to customers or support teams once systems are live.
• Create technical documents for deploying and migrating devices from legacy TR-069 (CWMP) protocol to the TR-369 next generation User Services Platform (USP).
• Design and deploy the next-gen device management platform using the TR-369 USP protocol. Lead technical discussions with customers, device manufacturers, and internal teams to develop migration strategies for USP devices.
• Create and maintain documentation following industry-standard best practices for code in shared repositories, including inline comments and readme files, and process documentation, including internal wiki pages, customer-facing instructions, implementation guidelines, and change logs.
• Conduct internal and customer-facing demonstrations of completed stories to showcase
functionality, gather feedback, and ensure alignment with stakeholder expectations.
• Continuous Learning: Stay abreast of the latest in technology, best practices, tools, and industry trends.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Datacomms, Telecommunications, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, and 6 years of experience in a senior technical role working with large scale enterprise applications.
• 4 years of experience in solution architecture, device management protocols (TR-069 and USP), and software deployment and automation in AWS.
• 3 years of experience in software deployment, automation, scripting, and networking in AWS for scalable solutions.
• 1 year of experience in development or documenting solutions for protocols in the satellite industry.
• Hands-on experience to involve:
o Linux system administration, including package management, user administration, and shell scripting.
o Proficiency in network protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP, and both IPv4 and IPv6, and troubleshooting issues in production environments using protocol analyzer tools such as Wireshark, Ethereal, etc. Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python).
o Designing, deploying, and managing virtualized environments including VMWare hosted data centers and AWS infrastructure, including EC2, S3, and VPC.
o Operational experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and related containerization technologies in cloud-native or on-premise environments.
o Web server administration, optimization, and troubleshooting (Nginx, SSL, load balancing, and security).
o Ansible or similar automation tools for deployment and configuration management.
Operational experience with open source technologies and databases such as RabbitMQ,
Kafka, Redis, Cassandra, and ElasticSearch.
o Configuring and utilizing monitoring and observability systems, such as Grafana,
Prometheus, Nagios, AWS CloudWatch, Zabbix, New Relic, etc.
o Application of security best practices in cloud environments. Basic data retrieval and
manipulation tasks in SQL databases (PostgreSQL or Oracle).
• Proficiency in work estimation and planning, including ability to accurately asses project scope, allocate time and resources efficiently, and consistently meet committed deadlines.
• Experience with issue tracking systems like JIRA, RTC, and Salesforce.
• Familiarity with software development life cycles (SDLC), including waterfall and agile
methodologies.

We will be thrilled if you possess any of the following
• Master's degree in Datacomms, Telecommunications, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 4 years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer, Senior Systems Engineer, Senior Architect, or in a higher capacity, and experiences to involve:
o Solution architecture experience for enterprise software technologies and device
management in Satellite or related media distribution industries.
