Job Description
Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Takes reasonable care to protect his or her health and safety, and that of other people who may be affected by any act or omission thereof.
- Take proper care of Health and Safety facilities and equipment provided for the protection of his or her health and safety, and that of other people
- Reports to his or her immediate supervisor in any situation, which he or she believes, present a risk to his or her health or safety or that of any other person.
- Co-operates with any person to permit compliance with the duties and responsibilities placed on that person in terms of Anglo-American Health and Safety Policies.
- Conducts inspections of Health and Safety conditions and risks in working area, reports and corrects sub-standard items, conditions, risks and unsafe acts to his or her supervisor.
- Ensures own and others compliance to relevant Policies, Procedures and codes of practices
- Participate in equipment criticality assessments and Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM) studies, providing planning and materials management input where required.
- Administer maintenance schedule updates and changes in accordance with approved change management processes.
- Maintain End-of-Life Replacement schedules within SAP/CMMS and monitor remaining life status of applicable components.
- Ensure critical equipment is supported by value-adding maintenance schedules and tactics.
- Support continuous review and improvement of maintenance systems, processes, and procedures to improve effectiveness and efficiency
- Produce weekly and monthly reports detailing maintenance, rotable, warranty, and repairable asset performance.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators such as rotable availability, turnaround times, repair costs, warranty recovery, and backlog status.
- Ensure compliance with ERP governance standards and data quality requirements.
- Maintain and control key engineering, maintenance, and OEM documentation relevant to the role.
- Support engineering projects and procurement activities through timely information provision and planning support.
- Communicate accurate and timely information to stakeholders.
This role is at a Band C5 level reporting to the Planned Maintenance Coordinator
Qualifications
- Grade 12 -Mathematics and Physical Science
- Successfully completed all Planner Asset Management training modules, or equivalent
- Have completed an apprenticeship / Learnership and is a qualified Artisan in a specific discipline or has suitable other technical qualifications and/or experience.
- Valid driver’s Licence code B
Experience
- 3-5 years Planned Maintenance or Production Experience in Mining/Process Industry
