We are inviting Geomatics (Mine Surveying) students, who are either entering their first year of study in 2027 or will be in their honours year of study in 2027, to apply for our bursary programme. This is your opportunity to receive financial support, gain practical exposure, and access development opportunities that will set the foundation for a successful and meaningful career.
Number of positions: 04
Location: Full Time at university and then placement in the graduate programme with rotations accross the Valterra Platinum Mining Value Chain

Minimum requirements for FIRST YEAR opportunities:
Confirmation of university admission (provisional or full) for this qualification (Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Surveying) / Bachelor of Engineering Technology in Mine Surveying)
Most recent academic transcript (Grade 11 final results or latest available Grade 12 results), demonstrating a minimum overall average of 65%.
Supporting documentation, including any achievements that enhance the application.
Minimum Requirements for FINAL YEAR/HONOURS Opportunities:
Final-year undergraduate student in the relevant field of study (Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Surveying) / Bachelor of Engineering Technology in Mine Surveying)
Intention to pursue an Honours qualification in 2027
A minimum average of 65% in latest available results
Submission of academic transcripts
Proof of Honours acceptance to be provided once available

Preference for our bursary programme will be given to learners from communities in and around our operations, in line with our commitment to local socio-economic development. Our South African processing operations are in Rustenburg in the North West Province and in Polokwane in the Limpopo Province. Our mines are located in Thabazimbi, Burgersfort and Mokopane in the Limpopo Province.
