Job Description
The execution and delivery of all technical supervisory mining training
Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Conducting operational competency training, assessments and audits.
- Implementing and supervising operational mining and technical skills development.
- Outcome based forms of implementing the workplace skills plan which are consistent with the aims and objectives of the operational Skills Development strategy.
- Ensuring the competency framework used for learning is technically sound, as well as complying with legal requirements.
- Ensuring that the training material and delivery is of a high quality, through regular audits and feedback from line management.
- Providing recommended guidelines for learning and development in the mining and technical functions.
- Consistently applying and maintaining safety, health and environment principles and standards for the mine.
- Delivery of effective training and development services.
- Effective administration of all relevant learning systems.
- Ensure compliance to legal, Company and national requirements.
- Effective coordination and implementation of all mining and technical structured learnership initiatives.
- Proactive identification of risks and threats to the of Mine / Production
Qualifications
- Diploma / Degree in Mining OR Equivalent
- Holder of a Full Blasting Licence.
- At least 5 years’ experience in underground mining operations
- Ability to run mining technical skills trainings to include MBL and FBL training
- Exposure to Mobile Equipment Operation
- Competent in mine HR systems and related legislation
- Competent in Learning function systems related to the role
- Computer literate for role including SAP Learning
- Clean Class 4 driver’s license
