Job Description
Warehouse Operative with FLT Licence
Heanor - Rotating Shift (6am to 2pm, 7am to 3pm, 7.30am to 3.30pm) Monday to Friday
Salary £25,525.62
Our Heanor site is home to our delicious Matthew Walker puddings and As a FLT Warehouse Operator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our food manufacturing warehouse. Your responsibilities will include managing stock, coordinating deliveries, and ensuring the right products are available when needed. This position is ideal for someone with excellent organizational skills and a proactive attitude who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out stock checks
- Use the SAP or IFS system to coordinate stock, book returns and purchase receipts
- Liaise with QA about any issues concerning the quality of incoming goods or stock.
- Report all accidents and near-misses in accordance with the accident reporting procedure.
- Keep the work area a safe environment in which to work by keeping it clean and tidy.
- Carry out daily start up procedure on the fork lift truck (SSUP checks).
- Liaise and coordinate with departments in accordance with the business plan.
- Complete area KPIs and audits as required.
- Report any issues to the Team Leaders
Qualifications
- Hold a valid FLT licence in both reach and counterbalance
- Previous experience in a warehouse or stores environment (experience in food manufacturing is an advantage).
- Ability to work in a physically demanding role, including lifting and moving heavy items.
- Basic computer skills for stock management systems.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
