Senior Software Engineer - Partner

  • Full-time
  • Employment Status: Full-Time

Company Description

Hi! We're UW. We’re on a mission to take the headache out of utilities by providing them all in one place. One bill for energy, broadband, mobile and insurance and a whole lot of savings!

We’re aiming to double in size as we help more people to stop wasting time and money—big ambitions, to be delivered by people like you.

We work together. Your team and the people you will work with…

We work in small, fully autonomous teams with real ownership of their products.

Partner is at the heart of UW’s growth, enabling thousands of Partners to introduce new customers to our services. As a Senior Software Engineer in the Partner team, you’ll work on products that support every stage of the partner journey—from onboarding and lead management to helping Partners grow and run their businesses. You’ll have the opportunity to shape new initiatives while continuously improving existing experiences through experimentation and data-driven decision making.

You’ll be joining one of our Partner engineering teams, building the platforms and services that power our Partner proposition. Depending on the team, you’ll contribute to systems such as our Lead Platform, which intelligently routes leads to Partners, or the journeys that help Partners join UW, schedule appointments, and manage their business across our web and mobile applications. Working primarily with Go, Postgres, Kafka and Kubernetes, you’ll build scalable, reliable systems that support one of UW’s most important growth channels.

We put people first. It’s all about you…

We’re looking for a senior backend-focused engineer who enjoys building scalable platforms and solving complex business problems. You’ll own deployments end-to-end within your team’s Kubernetes namespaces and help deliver services that are reliable, observable and resilient.

You’ll thrive here if you enjoy taking ownership, working across distributed systems, and collaborating closely with product managers, designers and engineers to deliver meaningful outcomes. Whether you’re improving lead routing, simplifying partner onboarding or enabling new Partner propositions, you’ll combine technical excellence with a pragmatic, low-ego approach while mentoring others as a player-coach.
