Upwork has partnered with a global data engineering company delivering AI to many of the world’s most prestigious companies. They provide AI-enabled software platforms and managed services for AI data collection, AI digital transformation, and industry-specific business processes. 

They are currently seeking native Japanese speakers (or someone who is fluent in the Japanese language on a professional level) , who are also fluent in English, to evaluate translated prompt responses and assess them according to a set of client-mandated standards and metrics that include accuracy, relevance, and helpfulness.

• Freelancers will be provided with login credentials to the translation review platform, where they’ll be assigned tasks, after completing a brief paid training.
• The platform is in English, but the translated prompts will be in Japanese language.
• Freelancers will review and assess prompts to check that characters, punctuation, and grammar were used properly, but will not be required to make corrections.
• The goal is to ensure the accuracy, coherence, and clarity of each prompt response.
• Additional tasks may include some data annotation.

• Native Japanese proficiency is required, along with a strong command of the English language
• Must own a laptop with a secure and reliable  internet connection
• Excellent written communication skills in Japanese
• Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work
• Ability to work independently
• Experience with translations, translation review, data annotation, and/or prompt engineering is a bonus
• A degree in English and/or the native language, Journalism, or other related courses is a bonus

• Ideally, the freelancer is available to work up to 30 hours per week.
• However, volumes of work may vary from week to week, and the client is flexible.
• You’ll be asked to share your availability and time zone shortly.
