Job Description

The Contractor is engaged to provide assessment marking services for UP Education Online, Swinburne Open Education (SOE) and other online programs. Marking is to be completed for allocated student submissions in accordance with nationally recognised assessment principles and UP Education Online and SOE academic standards.

Service Requirements

  • All marking must be completed in alignment with the Principles of Assessment (fairness, flexibility, validity, reliability) and the Rules of Evidence (validity, sufficiency, authenticity, and currency) as outlined in the 2025 Standards for RTOs (Outcome Standards).
  • The Contractor will review the content relevant to the assigned assessments, using the UP Education Online/SOE LMS, learning materials/eBooks, Facilitator Instruction Guide, Assessor Guide and Feedback sheets as applicable.

 

Marking and Documentation

  • The Contractor is responsible for marking assigned student submissions using the approved marking guides or rubrics and providing appropriate grading and feedback.
  • Marking must be completed within eight (8) business days from the allocation of each assessment or batch of assessments, unless otherwise agreed.
  • The Contractor is required to complete any associated administration and documentation, such as marking logs, recording grades, feedback sheets, or updating matrices in accordance with UP Education Online’s requirements for assessment validation and record-keeping.

Qualifications

  • Diploma of Accounting (minimum)
  • Cert IV in Training and Assessment 

Additional Information

  • This is an independent contractor position, meaning you must hold a valid ABN
  • Fully remote position (can be based anywhere in AUS)
